The Department of Computer Engineering is one of the �inest and most diverse

departments in the Poornima Foundation as well as in the Rajasthan Technological

University, Kota. We offer the B.Tech. in Computer Engineering since 2007, at the

foundationofPoornimaInstituteofEngineeringandTechnology(PIET).Moreover,you

can studyComputer Science in combinationwithmanyother subjects offered in the

FacultiesofEngineeringfromotherdepartmentsofthePIET.Weproudtosecurethe�irst

positionamongallthedepartmentsofPoornimaFoundationsince2007.

Wehaveanexcellentreputationatthestateandnationalleveloverlastfouryears.Ourshininggraduatesimparts

highknowledgeandexcellencecomputerskillstowintheraceoftechnologiesinvariousindustrialandeducation

The Department of Computer Engineering was incepted in the year 2007 and since then theDepartmentofComputerEngineering(CS),PIETcontinuedtomaintainitsleadershipasoneofthefoundingDepartmentofPoornimaInstituteofEngineering&Technology(PIET).Departmenthasbeenabletoattractpreferenceofmostintelligentstudentsavailableinthestateandoutside.Currentlyaround450studentsareenrolledintheDepartment.ThelifelineofDepartment-facultymembersarealwaysthefoundingstoneforalltheachievement.Departmentisfortunatetogetfacultymembersofhigherquali�ication..TheDepartmenthasgothighestplacement inPIET.Theplacement has always been increasing. System Design Lab

Inthislabstudentslearnaboutthedesigningofvariousdesignand

systems.IntheUMLLabstudentslearnaboutmodellingsoftware

andhowtousemodellinginthesoftwaredevelopmentprocess.

In VLSI design students learn the designing of integrated

electronicscircuitswiththehelpofsoftware.

Design of any software and hardware systems and software are

donewiththehelpofsoftware. AllbigEngineeringprojectsare

completedwiththehelpofdesigndevelopedusingsoftware.This

Operating System Lab

OperatingsystemLabsisanLearningmediumforstudentsabout

thebasicneedofanyhardwaredevices.InthisLabsStudentslearns

about the operating systems, their internal process, memory

managementand Job scheduling. In thisLab studentsalso learn

Unix Operating System, Windows Operating System and other

Algorithms Are base line to write a program. Understanding of

algorithms is required to become a programmer. In this Lab

students learnsbasics andadvance conceptsof algorithms, they

applyitusingaprogramminglanguage.

anditsimplementationforthesolutionsofanproblem.

This lab is also used for graphical representations of objects,

Objectorientedprogramming’sareindemandthesedays.Inthis

missionformanagingchallengesandproblemswithinthehighlightedscope.TheNCSCT2017received

anoverwhelmingresponsefromacademicians,researchersandstudents.Outof69fullpapers,40papers

wereacceptedaftertheblindreviewsbytheexperts.Outof40,40papershavebeenregisteredand

presentedduringtheconvergence.The2days‟eventwaswellattendedbyover500+delegates.Five

expertsfromacademicsandindustrydeliveredthekeynoteaddresses.Thediscussionswerefocusedon

discussingthegroundrealitiesofIndianCities,Smartconceptswithreferencetovariousengineering

branches, some case studies and guidelines. These thought provoking sessions led to immense

interactionsfromtheparticipantswhopostedmanyquestionstothespeakersinthesesessions.

TheDepartment of Computer Engineeringwas incepted in the year

2007withthevision,“Tocreateanenvironmentinwhichnewideas,

researchandtechnologydevelopandthetechnocratsandinnovatorsof

tomorrow become competent to face the global challenges”, So to

celebratetheexistenceofthisdepartmentwecelebratedadepartment

day on 14thSeptember 2017, which was a complete package of

numerous events like dance, music, documentary and project

exhibition.Thestudentsshowedtheircalibreenthusiasticallyandthe

gemsofthedepartmentwereawardedandhonoured.

Department of Computer Engineering organized project exhibition

on24thApril-2017asperPoornimaFoundationguidelines.30projects

from various disciplines were displayed in the exhibition. This

exhibitionprovidedplatformtoyoungbuddingengineers‟toshowcase

theirtalent,technicalskillsandcreateshealthycompetitionamongst

them to perform better,which eventuallyworks towards enhancing

their technical skills. Senior faculty members and delegates from

Poornima Foundation visited the exhibition and gave their valuable

inputsandalsoadmiredstudent’seffortsinmakingliveprojectsandmodels.

SolutionsPvt.LtdandCyberops Infosec,onWednesdayAugust02,

2017especiallyfor5thand7thsemesterstudentofComputerScience

and Engineering. The main objective behind the visit was to make

student aware about how various activities related to software

development, testing, analysis, �inancing and human resource, and

currenttrendsofindustryrequirementsarecarriedoutincompany.Itis

rightlysaidthat“See&know”isbetterthan“read&learn”.Studentshavegotrealfeelofcompany’s

workingafterthisvisit.Theygotachancetotransfertheirtheoreticalknowledgetopracticalimplication.

SABIR ALI KHANperformed on Sarangi andUSTAD HANIF

KHANperformed on Tabla.This initiative was taken to make the

studentsmoreawareaboutIndianandworldheritageandinspirethe
