20th Annual Conference & Exhibition of our Society

The most awaited event of the Society was the 20th annual conference and exhibition (“MUDRA UTSAV”) on 22nd , 23rd and 24th December 2017 held at Haldiram Banquet Hall, 24 Ballygunge Park, Kolkata. The 'Mudra Utsav 2017' was arranged for three days where we had packed program each day.

FIRST DAY : Inaugural Session

Prof. Satyabrata Chakraborty, General Secretary of the Asiatic Society inaugurated the program and delivered the inaugural speech. Our Guest of honour Mr. Sayan Bhattacharya, Education Officer of Indian Museum delivered his speech. After the inaugural session, the exhibition of coins by the members who displayed their collections beautifully and systematically, from ancient to modern through the medieval period was also inaugurated. It was a rare occasion for the public to watch such coins which are yet to be displayed in any museums in India. Such a collection of coins in one single exhibition is worth watching when many of the pieces displayed, were very rare and not available in Govt. Museums of the country.
