TELESOM ACADEMY OVERVIEW

Telesom Academy is a private educational institution founded by Telesom Company, dedicated to providing high-quality professional courses and certificate programs to build the capacity, knowledge, and skills of individuals and institutions and to promote positive behavior to cope with changes and meet challenges. The Hargeisa campus is located about 100 Meters North of Farah Omar Secondary School on a shared campus with Telesom Company at Hargeisa. The campus spans 240 Meters of open space and one academic building, the admin office is on the second floor while the classes are on the first floor. We are expecting to enroll numerous students for the different courses each year for the next three years. Telesom academy is expected to be accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of Somaliland and the Ministry of Education and Science.

The disciplines are continually evaluating the technical and general education curricula to ensure that is meeting the employment needs of Somaliland. The advisory committee comprised of Telesom professionals and other experts play an important role in this process Somaliland commission of labor will give their contribution about the labor needs existing. Future discipline members are carefully being selected for their academic credentials as well as for their actual work experience in their fields. Most disciplines members hold at least a first degree or will be certified persons plus five years of experience in their field. The academic disciplines to student ratio are 1 to 30, allowing for smaller class sizes and personal attention. Technology programs organized within four academic areas: Information Technology; Telecom Engineering, Business Administration, Banking, Project Management, Electricity plus Solar Energy; More than ten professional courses and certificate programs planned to offer, and each program includes essential general education courses.

These studies help each student to become a well-rounded individual with the basic skills needed to reach their full potential.

HISTORY OF TELESOM ACADEMY

Telesom Company as Parent founded Telesom Academy in 2020. After two decades working in Telecommunication and Information Technology, we saw the potential for a new kind of training Acade-my– flexible and people-focused, offering accredited qualifications grounded in a practical understanding of the challenges we face in the workplace.

As Telesom academy we plan to provide reliable, well-suited, and certified credential training, we hope that the Academy will steadily expand beyond Somaliland and will reach the Horn of Africa in the future. Telesom Academy has a standard-bearer in terms of course quality and an innovator in terms of course delivery. We always looking for new ways to improve the learning experience, our enthusiastic adoption of new technology to develop our online learning platform (Tabsera).

Having offering in-company training, Telesom academy will central-ize both our personal and our corporate learning and development services under the Telesom Academy brand.

The next stage of Telesom Academy’s growth and expansion will begin with the launch of our International Partner Network, extend-ing our regional reach and making the same high standard of professional training available around the Horn of Africa.

- A set of specialized training programs designed for a group

training fields with a specific time frame.

3. International Certification Test Center:

- Telesom academy will provide international certification

test centers through the world’s most famous centers. we

have already started with negotiation which includes but is

not limited to “Pearson Vue, and ICDL”.
