A couple of months ago we broke the news about our plans

for ICRealtime and the reaction from integrators has been

spectacular. The range of IP CCTV cameras, companion

recorders and accessories, now on the Habitech site,

demonstrates that if you are networking security in the home

or even integrating legacy analogue camera systems, the ICR

toolbox is about as complete and competent as you’ll find.

designing new ones. ICR’s IP cameras and recorders

integrate with most third-party VMS platforms such as

Genetec, Lenel, Milestone and Nuno, and all IP recorders

are Onvif compliant for use with other IP camera brands,

if they’re already installed. Especially outstanding for our

home control customers is the compatibility with the leading

automation brands: Control4, AMX, Crestron, Savant, RTI,

Vantage, etc. through free-of-charge drivers and easy-to-

access snapshots and video streams. What’s more, both

the NVRs and cameras provide secondary streams to allow

for lower bandwidth applications (remote monitoring or

integration with control systems that do not support H.264),

while Full HD is simultaneously available through the primary

stream and HDMI.

Unified IPAlthough the traditional IP

in applications and drivers,

a very useful feature of

the NVRs is that they

provide every camera

stream through a unified

IP address and span

subnets. If you have

existing IP cameras on

a network and wish to

integrate new ones using

the inbuilt PoE switch, the

NVR automatically detects

these and supplies video

streams through simple URLs

on a single address.

Made for CIIn typical Habitech style we’ve gone the extra mile and

pre-configured the NVRs specifically for CI installations. This

means that out-of-the-box, the system can immediately

be connected to an HDMI matrix and DHCP network for

quick integration with a control system. Simple-to-follow

documentation with drivers on our website makes it a synch

to get the system up and running in minutes.

And the downsides? We haven’t found any yet and
