Be sure to review an example of Reservation Confirmation and Cancellation e-mails to familiarize yourself with the data is contained in them in order to guide guests correctly.

Email languages available include: English/British English, Arabic, (Traditional) Chinese, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Korean, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish
The ResApp uses the same e-mail confirmation function as Marriott.com. The e-mail confirmation is not sent by EMPOWER, but instead sent by a dedicated e-mail server outside of EMPOWER. The ResApp sends e-mail confirmations in two different formats depending on which option is selected.

When a new reservation is confirmed an e-mail confirmation can be sent in various languages. Only one e-mail address can be active on the reservation at a time. Both options below send the full HTML format with color and pictures.
For a new reservation with a Contact Record, the e-mail address defaults under Guest and Billing Information.

A new reservation created without a Contact Record, will need an e-mail address entered into the “Add Guest Information” section.

To resend an e-mail:• Click on Email. • This will send a full HTML format with
color & pictures to the existing e-mail address saved on the booking.
• Resend currently delivers in English only.

with Change of E-mail
To send a confirmation to a different e-mail address:• Select the envelope next to “Send to
another email address” beneath Resend Email.
• This sends a copy of the plain e-mail confirmation to additional addresses.
• It will not change the e-mail address saved to the booking, only acts to forward an e-mail confirmation.
• Only available to send in English.
To resend an e-mail to an available language other than English: • Navigate to the E-mail field within the
Guest Information section. • Select Confirm Email Language to
choose from available languages.

To change the e-mail address currently saved on an existing reservation or to resend in a different language, access ResApp through Guest Lookup, then open the reservation. Verify the reservation details with the guest to confirm the correct reservation is open.

For reservations with an existing Contact record:• The e-mail address is within the Guest
and Billing Information section. • Update the e-mail address and choose
“Enter for this reservation only”. This does not change the e-mail address stored on the Contact Record.
• To resend to an existing guest in a language other than English, select the language from the Confirm e-mail language drop down.
For reservations without a Contact record:• Navigate to the Guest Information
section.• Input the new e-mail address.• Click Submit to send.
