How do you stop unwanted activities of your computer? You press "ESC", the socalled "Escape key".

Now, just imagine such an ESC key in real life. Wouldn't it be wonderful to stop things going wrong as simple as that ?!Actually, there is a place called "ESC" in Africa !

In this case, "ESC" is the abbreviation of "Encusere Sampu Conservancy". On these colourful plains (encusere sampu) in Kenya, our local Maasai community has stood up for preserving our natural environment and our traditional roots.

We press the ESC key to the destruction of our precious nature by conserving the variety of plants and wild animals. We started to use solar energy and biogas to replace charcoal or mineal oil and introduced innovative methods of protecting our lifestock against predators.

We press the ESC key to rural migration and the decay of our traditional roots by improving our infrastructure and creating new ways of employment and income for the benefit of nature in our conservancy and eco-lodge project.
