IntroductionEsalen Institute is a renown international center: Esalen

Massage is taught worldwide by Esalen Institute (Germany, Scotland, Japan, Bali, Argentina, Canada (British-Colombia and Québec), etc.)

It is exciting for Eastern Canada to benefit from Esalen Massage, a unique approach based on Presence and Breath, “empowering each individual to regain a sense of harmony, reverence, and balance, and to awaken inner resources for healing”

An agreement between the producers, Centre EauVie, and Esalen Institute has been established to offer Esalen Massage Training in Eastern Canada (Québec) in summer 2011

190 hours ProgramThis training is not only comprised of physical technique, but will be

presented as a form of somatic learning and a meditation for both giver and receiver.

Experiential learning classes will focus on supporting students to develop a balance between technique, intuition, and creativity, and will include lectures and demonstration in fundamental massage skills and embodied anatomy, detailed structural work, lengthening integrative strokes, sensory awareness, pathology, ethics, etc. 

The curriculum includes supervised massage practice sessions, supportive table movements, alternative client positions, and current trends in Esalen Massage and somatic bodywork.

In addition to this, yoga and movement classes, and Gestalt and other exercice sessions will complete the 190 hours program.

Following the satisfactory of this program, students wishing to complete the certification program will have 6 months to document 30 massage sessions.  Upon payment of administration fees, an Esalen ® Massage Certification will be issued.

Cost Registration on or before April 30, 2011:     4 380$CANRegistration on or after May 1, 2011:      4 760$CANIncluding lodging and meals during the whole stayStudents will have to get the book Anatomy for

Movement 1, from Blandine Calais-Germain, 1999 edition or later; about 40$ 

Upon registration, a 500$ deposit is required, refundable (minus 100$ for management fees) if cancellation occurs before April 30, 2011. The balance is due 5 days prior to the beginning of the training (allow 7 days for processing a cheque).
