Let'sPlaytheScrambledGameParent's Note: When your child has mastered the regular game, it'stime to try the scrambled game.

DressingtheTurtles.Pressthe turtle's tail to liftthe shell..Locate the recessed area..Align the straight end of a label

with the straight end of therecessed area..Apply the straight end of thelabel firstand smooth downwardto remove air bubbles..Repeat this procedure to applythe other nine labels to theturtles.

Helpful Hint:For best adhesion, tryto avoid applying the labels morethan once.

Let'sSet~Up.Place the numbered turtles on a

flat surface. Set the turtle with the0 label under itsshell aside. It'sfor scrambled game play..Mal"e sure all the turtle shells areclosed. Mixthe turtles..Shuffle the lilypads and place thedecl" face up near the turtles.

Let'sPlay.The youngest player goes first. Play continues

to the left (clocl'\Wise)..Lool"at the top lilypad..Now, picl"a turtle. Pressthe turtle's tail and 1001"at the number under itsshell to see if it matchesthe lilypad..If it's a match, good job! Put the lilypadand the turtle in front of you. It'sthe nextplayer's turn..If it's not a match, sorry! It'sthe next player'sturn to try to match a turtle to the lilypad..Tryto remember each turtle's number.

Turtle Etiquette: Do not picl"another lilypaduntil there isa match.

YouWinlAfter all matches have been made, count yourturtles. The player with the most turtles WINS!Ifthere isa tie, you both WIN!
