You can only access the link through Remote Desktop, opening
the Intranet, and pasting the link above into the address bar. If
you attempt to access ERL outside of this area will cause an
error code to appear, and restrict access to the site

Verify that the Inspection Assignment Manager displays (Outside Adjusters should always see this screen for their level of
ERL access).
Use the Today, Future, Past Due, and Closed tabs to access your assignments
On any of the tabs you can view the following for any assignment:
• Scheduled Time
• Line of Business
• Method of Inspection
• Claim Number (displays as a hyperlink; allows access to the Next Gen file)
• Participant (displays as a hyperlink; allows access to ERL inspection details)
• Inspection Phone (the contact number for the participant)
• Inspection Address (the address for the participant)
• Assignment Type
• CAT designation
Use the checkbox on the left side of the screen to select specific appointments to acknowledge, or print using the
Acknowledge Selected or Print Selected buttons at the bottom of the screen.
Use the Acknowledge All or Print All buttons at the top of the screen to Acknowledge or Print all of the appointments on the
screen.
On the Future tab, it will display assignments for Tomorrow as a default. Use All Future Assignments radio button to view all
assignments in your queue.
View an individual assignment using these steps:
• On the Inspection Assignment Manager, click on the Participant Name to view the Inspection Assignment Details
• Assignment Details screen displays the following information:
• Assignment Details
o Inspection Location and Contact Phone
o Appointment Promised and Scheduled Times
o View Map Hyperlink
• Customer Information
• Claim Information
• Policy Information
• Asset Information
• Damages Overview from FNOL
• Prior Losses

1. Returns you back to your list of assignments for Today.
2. Claim Number is a hyperlink into Next Gen
3. Hyperlink to map of the inspection location.
4. Travel, Arrived and Departure times can be input based on the actual date and
times the inspection occurred.
5. Customer phone number is the preferred contact number from Next Gen.
Additional numbers are accessible via the Claim Number hyperlink.
6. Assignment Options:
A. Add/View Comments takes you to another screen where any comments
that were input at the time of scheduling the appointment can be viewed.
You can also add comments in order to document your handling of the file.
Comments posted will be automatically transferred into a Next Gen File
note. Pilot OA’s, do not add comments in this section
B. Pilot OA’s do not utilize B for cancelling inspections
C. Pilot OA’s do not utilize C for Rescheduling inspections
D. Assignment History lists out the details regarding when assignments were
scheduled, assigned, canceled, etc.
E. Print Assignment Details allows you to print out the assignment. This
opens the print pop up.

1. Only coverage's that have been opened will be shown. Use the View All
Coverage's link to view all available coverage's on the policy.
2. The View All Coverage's link will open a new screen showing all of the
available coverage's for the policy. You will have the ability to print
those coverage's.
3. Peril deductibles on the policy will be listed.
4. Link to Xactanalysis. The link will allow access directly into Xactanalysis
but you will need to be sure to access the correct claim. There is a
technical defect with this link and it may not access the claim you are
viewing in the Inspection Assignment Manager. We have the fix for this
defect slotted for the April release.
5. Mortgage Holder(s) will be listed as they appear in Next Gen. Multiple
listings of the same Mortgage Company may be shown if they are listed
more than once in Next Gen.
6. Roof type and Roof age as per the records on file. You will need to
verify that this is correct with the Customer.
7. Damages as reported at First Notice of Loss.
8. Hyperlink to prior claims on the policy. Legacy claims will not be listed.

1. Assignment Status must be selected before closing the assignment.
See addendum for additional information.
2. Select a Reason from the drop down. Available selections will change
based on the Assignment Status chosen. See addendum for
additional information.
3. Pilot OA’s bypass this drop down option once it appears Action is an
optional selection.
4. Assignment Comments can be used for claim handling
documentation. Plain text can be pasted into the Comments box.
Pasting information with special characters may cause an error.
Document attachments are not allowed. Comments will post into
Next Gen automatically in a file note.
5. Pilot OA’s bypass this option Create another assignment is only
available when the Assignment Status of Partial Complete or
Incomplete is chosen. When the check box is selected, you will be
taken directly into Assignment Scheduler after clicking Close
Assignment. You will then have the ability to schedule another
appointment for the customer.

Assignment Status radio button selections
Complete All onsite work is complete. Coverage has been determined (does not apply to Inspect Only assignments). Damage has been scoped and estimate, if any, is complete and provided to customer. Payment, if any, has been given to or arranged for delivery to customer.
Partial Complete Some onsite work is complete. Coverage has been determined (does not apply to Inspect Only assignments). Some, but not all, damage has been scoped and partial estimate, if any, is complete and provided to customer. Partial payment, if any, may have been given to or arranged for delivery to customer.
Incomplete No onsite work is complete. No scope of damage, no coverage determination, no payments to customer.

Covered All of the loss is covered.
Partial Denial Part of the loss is denied.
Full Denial Loss is not covered.
Below Deductible Loss is covered but estimated damages are below the customer’s deductible amount.
Insured Withdrew Claim Customer decided not to pursue the claim.
Inspect Only No coverage determination made.

More Time Needed to Complete Estimate
Some onsite work has been completed but the estimate was not completed. Adjuster needs more time to complete the estimate with another onsite appointment or offsite office time.
Mitigation Not Complete Some onsite work has been completed but the assignment was not completed because mitigation was not complete. Another onsite appointment or offsite office time to complete for the same or another adjuster.
Other Vendor/Expert Needed Some onsite work has been completed but the assignment was not completed. Another onsite appointment or offsite office time is needed for the same or another adjuster.
Weather Prohibited Completion
Some onsite work has been completed but the assignment was not completed due to weather conditions. Another onsite appointment or offsite office time is needed for the same or another adjuster.
Unable to Access Roof – Too Steep/High
Some onsite work has been completed but the assignment was not complete because the roof was too high or steep. Another onsite appointment or offsite office time is needed for the same or another adjuster.

Unable to Complete Assignment
Arrived onsite and no work completed for various reasons.
Unable to Access Roof – Too Steep/High
Arrived onsite and no work completed because the roof was too high or steep to begin.
Other Vendor/Expert Needed Arrived onsite and no work completed because a Vendor/Expert is needed to begin the inspection.
Customer Contractor Unavailable
Arrived onsite and no work completed because the Customer Contractor is needed to begin the inspection.

If you mark an inspection incomplete, you must complete this spreadsheet below
and email it to your admin mgr. & they will forward it to dispatch. Be sure you mark
if Ladder Assist is involved to assist dispatch when they need to be rescheduled as
well. Admins have a copy of this to send if you do not have a copy.
Closing Your Assignments On A Daily Basis
This program is based on your inspection only.
We should never have a claim move into the
past due tab. After each day of inspecting, we
should have a conclusion to each inspection
regardless of the actual file staying open for a
longer duration of time. Your inspections for
the day should either be complete, partially
complete, or incomplete. Never leave an
assignment open in ERL due to your XM8
assignment not being completed.
