I also created content for all of the newsletters that come out of the Lyles Center and promote Lyles Center events through social media and local media through press releases and live interviews. During that time, I managed our account with Fresno State Tiny House, a project being worked on by the capstone construction management students from the Lyles College of Engineering. As the account manager, I helped oversee the Fresno State Tiny House Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages. I worked with a team of four account executives to come up with original and engaging content for each of the social media platforms. I also worked with my team to put together a news release announcing the “first nail” of the project—or when the project went from ideas and blueprints to actually being built. I work with other interns to create and schedule posts on a monthly basis. Another major responsibility I have had was to send out any and all news releases to a list of media contacts, which was broken up between myself and three other interns. We also had to contact the media with follow-up calls to see if they were willing to run our releases. I’ve also been in charge of collecting and organizing all of the ads that CCWC sponsors would send to us to be put into our event program, as well as work with CCWC’s graphic designer to decide on the placement of the ads in the program while it was being created.
