Fact 1Polar bears are classified as a vulnerable species. This means that they are under threat of extinction.

Fact 2Polar bears have black skin and colourless hair. Their hair reflects the light giving them white looking coats. This provides them with good camouflage in the snow.

Fact 3 Polar bears are excellent swimmers

Fact 4Polar bears clean themselves by rolling in the snow.

Fact 5Polar bears can smell seal that are over a kilometre away.

Fact 6The biggest threat to polar bears is climate change as this is causing the ice to melt.
