Installation can be done, with a minimum of preparation on top of almost any sub-base such as grass, soil, sand, gravel, asphalt and concrete tiles etc. By installation on a loose sub-base such as grass, sand, soil and gravel, the area shall be covered by a geo-textile before installation begins. Rubber Mulch is supplied in 25-kg bags and polyurethane in 25 kg. kegs. The materials must be dry and installation shall only be carried out in dry weather. Rubber mulch and polyurethane must be mixed in a paddle mixer. A drum mixer is not recommendable for the job. Pour a (suitable) quantity of rubber mulch into the mixer and start it up. Add 1,5 kg polyurethane (15%) for each 10 kg of rubber mulch. Mix for 3-5 min. until all the rubber mulch appears uniformly shining - wet with polyurethane. Empty the mixer into a bucket or a wheelbarrow. Pour out the blend. Spread and compress it to the desired thickness using a plastering trowel, a shovel or preferred tools. To obtain the right thickness it is an advantage to use a wooden block in correct thickness. Use the same wooden block as dolly at the edges. Uncured polyurethane can be removed from tools etc. with petroleum. Cured polyurethane can only be removed mechanically or by burning with e.g. a gas burner.
