BLEND 2015 EREDITÀ 50% MALBEC, 20% MERLOT, 20% CABERNET FRANC, 10% PETIT VERDOT www.closdechacras.com.ar - [email protected] Monte Líbano 1025, Chacras de Coria Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza closdechacras bodegaclosdechacras closdechacras TASTING NOTES: VINEYARD: Chacras de Coria in Luján de Cuyo and Gualtallary in Tupungato (Uco Valley) YIELDS: 8,000 Kg per Hectare/ 7,000 Pounds per Acre AGING: 12 months in second use French oak barrels ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13.5% RESIDUAL SUGAR: 2.62 g/l TOTAL ACIDITY: 5.28 g/l PH: 3.8 BOTTLING DATE: September, 2016. This modern blend shows how expressive any varietal could become in high altitude vineyards in Mendoza, guided by the thoughtful hands of our Winemaker. We introduce this blend, with 50 % Malbec from Chacras de Coria (Luján de Cuyo) and 20% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot from Gualtallary (Tupungato) as a great example of Mendoza’s present and future for wine. To the eye, this wine presents deep red hues, with good concentration and intensity. Clear notes appear on the nose, from Malbec’s sweet red fruits, Merlot and Cabernet Franc’s ripe berries and Petit Verdot’s fresh wood, hay and grass. Some aging notes eventually unfold as well; chocolate, vanilla and butter notes generate a more complex wine with plenty of character. On the palate, the attack precedes great volume, natural acidity and sweet and lively tannins. An intense but smooth finish shows great balance, which is our main goal. We recommend to serve this wine at 61ºF and to pair it with stews, game and black chocolate desserts.
