Community Announcements

Hi, my name is Gina. I have been the Social Worker Student for the past two Terms at Kyogle Public School. My focus as a social worker at KPS is working with students in the school environment and working collaboratively with the Principal and Teachers to minimise the impacts of personal, family and school difficulties. Aiming to remove the barriers to learning. During this placement I have worked with children with disabilities, learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. I have run lunch time group activities that involved arts and crafts, worked with groups to build birdboxes for the school playground and made leather keychains. Keep an eye out next Term as the photos of the birdboxes will be out and a blurb on how the boys made these. Thank you KPS, it has been an amazing experience to do my first placement at this school.
