Equipping churches worldwide to
demonstrate God’s intentions
The Harvest Foundation was founded in 1981
by Bob and Judy Moffitt. Following are some
excerpts from www.harvestfoundation.org:
Harvest workers are dynamic, enthusiastic, and
dedicated. They share biblical instruction and
help God’s people apply what they learn in their
homes, churches, and communities. The results of
this work, mobilizing people to serve like Jesus
in the contexts of their families and sectors of
society, have been positive. In 2014, our 50
workers in 30 countries reported 5,100 of these
events with 45,551 participants.
When we prepare our reports at Harvest, we do not
focus on the number of conversions or churches
planted. On the other hand, we focus on
activities that show our obedience to our calling
of making disciples. Since this way of counting
mission activity is not common among agencies,
sometimes people ask us, “What do you really do
in your mission?” People see our work and
appreciate what we do, but they also want to
understand how we use our time and financial
resources, what we usually call a “strategy.”
The Harvest strategy is to sow the seed of vision,
to provide initial tools, to encourage and coach
church leaders, to multiply sowers and coaches!
In a word, discipling a nation by discipling a
nation’s people.
