(zhee-klay) - The word Giclée is based on the French verb which means to spray. More recently, Giclée has come to represent fine art digital prints made on 8 color ink-jet printers. A Giclée print will have no visible dot screen and is consistent with museum archival standards. The Epson Style Pro 9890 large format ink-jet printer has perfected the art of Giclée by combining the precision of Micro-Piezo print heads with the proven performance of the Epson Ultra Chrome K3 with Vivid Magenta. This unique system enables Ep-son to produce industry-leading high-resolution color output on all paper types. Customers can expect prints with remarkable de-tail and accurate fine blends, with a maximum resolution of 2880 x 1440 dpi.
