The alumni chapter is now in its second year of operation, and its goals are simply to promote life-long brotherhood by provide an outlet for casual alumni interac-tion. There are quarterly events planned, which are centered in a location that would promote a good attendance from as many alumni as possible. Dues are $25 for the year, and this amount covers a publication (newsletter), fee to Nationals, website, and an operating budget. On our last alumni weekend EY 001 Lee Woodlief
took the helm of the alumni chapter by becoming the new president. If you are interested in re-emerging in the brother-hood, contact Brother Ken Fol-mar, Vice President of the Alumni Chapter. You can con-tact Ken through e-mail [email protected], or by phone (478) 719 6123. If you want to check out the website t h e a d d r e s s i s : www.alumni.eyeofpkp.org

At this point in the semester we have completed every portion of our sanction and are almost fully complete. Something no other Greek organization has done when they have been put on sanctions by the University.
In the spring semester of 2006 the University issued a deferred rush policy for any student who had under twelve university credit hours (targeting first semester freshmen). In the fall of ‘06 EY was caught breaking that rule, and now we have been sanctioned by the university for doing so. Our sanctions are:
◊ No rush until January 2008
◊ Each member will complete 1 0 e x t r a h o u r s o f community service, which m u s t i n v o l v e t h e

Chris Turner, E.Y. 362,
started Santa’s Miracle
Fund in September of
2004, when he was a
high school senior at
Lakeside High School in
Evans, Georgia. The
program helps provide
underprivileged children
acquire Christmas gifts
that they would not
normally be able to
enjoy due to massive
medical bills. Mr.
Turner continued the
program as an
undergrad and utilized
our beloved Pi Kappa
Phi to get the word out
and raise funds. In
December 2006, Turner
had raised $10,200, and
brought Christmas to
children in Macon and
Augusta. “In Augusta,
patients picked out toys
for the children that
could not exit the
hospital due to
deteriorating health.
The most rewarding part
of
running the program
this year was seeing the
‘in patient’s’ faces as
well as the family
members” says Chris.
Brother Turner
was featured in the
Georgia College and
State University
magazine as the fall
2006 “Student that Sees
the Light.” Chris has
won the Giving Your
Best Award (Augusta),
the Youth Philanthropist
of the Year (2004), the
Daily Point of Light
Award (national award),
the Fall 2006 Emerging
Student Leader of the
Semester Award
(GCSU). He has
received over $1500
worth of donations from
Wal Mart, a $1000 grant
from Tri-County E.M.C,
and The All Star
Limousine Company
donated $1500 worth of
services for the
transportation of
children from the
hospital to Toys “R” Us.
Chris is always
looking for ways to
spread awareness of his
program. He is also
aspiring to expand the
program with new
people giving their time,
energy, finances, and
networking aspects. If

Again if you can help in anyway, through your job contacts or with just personal help, please contact the chapter ASAP! We hope to see you soon!
In an effort to be original and create new fundraising ideas the chapter has decided to do “Cow-A-Dunga ’07” in the fall. We plan to do this in September and it will be the biggest fundraiser EY has done in recent history. The event is basically a lottery. We grid off a field and people purchase squares in the field for $10.00 a piece. The winner of the “lottery” is chosen when the cow defecates in a square! (basically if the cow squats in your square you win) Right now we are looking for all the help we can get monetarily and voluntarily. We plan to make this event an annual fundraiser, with not only the cow lottery but also a fair. We have already contacted several radio stations in the local area and secured commercial time and other great advertising capabilities through that. So if you know of anyway you can help please contact the chapter as soon a possible! Below is a list of the materials we need:
