having breakfast and before 8:15 a.m. if they
don’t. The student will be consider TARDY
after 8:15 a.m.
Send a note to school If the student is absent,
You will have ONLY five days to turn the note
in after the student come back to school.

Support my child’s learning by ensuring that he/
she has proper rest and nutrition and attends
school on time and on a regular basis
Support my child’s learning by encouraging read-
ing at home at least 4 times a week after school
hours for 20 minutes
Participate in decisions relating to the education
of my child through a mutually respectful relation-
ship with school staff
Provide a mutually respectful relationship be-
tween all parties (students, parents, teachers, and
volunteers)
Provide a time for homework completion at home
Ask my child about their day at school
Have an open communication with my child’s
teacher to get extra support.
Attend at least at 2 parents nights to received ma-
terial to promote academic vocabulary at home

Emails, phone calls, Thursday folder, Remind, flyers,
parent conferences.
Read 30- 45 minutes independently at least 4 nights a week
to improve my reading
Read different kind of material—use the district literacy
pages at home
Communicate any information to my parents a bring materi-
als from school to show them.
Ask my teachers for help when I need it
I will recognize the story elements when I read, summarize
and understand the purpose of the author
I will use my context clues to figure out an unknown word

I will know my multiplication chart to be able to work
on division
I will ask questions when I am not sure about a lesson
or an assignment
I will take home my work to share it with my parents
and explain them the ways the teachers are using at
