Holy Gospel  Mark 1:21–28

P The Holy Gospel according to St. Mark, the first chapter.

The reading of the Holy Gospel.

P This is the Gospel of the Lord.

Apostles' Creed

C I believe in God, the Father Almighty,

maker of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,

born of the virgin Mary,

suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried.

He descended into hell.

The third day He rose again from the dead.

He ascended into heaven

and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.

From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the holy Christian Church,

the communion of saints,

the forgiveness of sins,

the resurrection of the body,

and the life TTTT everlasting. Amen

PASTOR MARK EISOLD’S PERU MISSION UPDATE

In early January, the Peru Mission Team was blessed to host a team from Grace LutheranChurch in Midland, Texas, who organized and led their first Vacation Bible School inSan Borja, Peru. They are also reaching out to the people of this community throughevents like Bible Studies and English speaking night, in which those people who have been learning English can have an evening to practice speaking with their team.

The entire Peru Mission Team is very excited - they received their carnets!!! This meansthat they are now residents of Peru. After Pastor Eisold and his wife Sandi receivedtheirs, they were able to sign the residency paperwork for their children. This is soimportant because until now there were many things they could not do in Peru. Now theycan sign contracts without going through lots of extra paperwork and paying extra fees. They can also purchase a vehicle, get a driver's license and get a better cell phone plan. They have learned so much about how things work in Peru by going through this process.

The Eisold Family loves to receive letters and notes of encouragement. Their addressand important dates are below:
