should be installed before trying to

install Progress/Epicor. There is a 64

Bit variant to .Net Framework

make sure you install the correct one!

Change Location: C:\Epicor\Crystal Reports XI R2 .Net 3.0 Runtime (03_05_2008)\Change the default from JUST ME to EVERYONE

Restart the setup fromthe DVD. Stop theOpenEdge 10.1C Serviceusing the Servicescontrol panel and theMProServe & mProShutprograms with the TaskManager.

Set your location and check to install Web Server.

Here you can just accept the defaults.

Even if you are a SQL house, you will still need the Progress 10.1C installed.

Change the defaults to your shared location.

Change the default to your network share.

Change defaults of where you want the client installed and to where you set the network share.

Find under the Epicor\Epicor904 folder, the

EpicorUtilities.exe program to install the Administration

Console.

Installing Epicor 9Right Click on the Epicor904 System. Choose IMPORT LICENSE and select your license file.

Right Click on the imported License and choose Properties. Confirm your User Licenses and quantities.

Click on the Modules tab and select the ENABLE ALL LICENSED modules to turn on all your modules. By default not are set.

Click SHOW LICENSED to see all your modules. Compare this with your list to ensure accuracy.

Finally, click APPLY and OK to complete the license installation.

Right click on the Companies to add a company. Fill out the fields, select your serial number and click OK.

This process takes a fair amount of time. 10-15 minutes.

Installing Epicor 9Right Click on the EpicorTrain904 System. Choose IMPORT

LICENSE and select your same license file.

Right Click on each of the EpicorTrain904 Companies and update the Properties assigning your serial number to each.

Clicking APPLY and OK to each company after reassigning the Serial Numbers.

On the SERVER - Open the Admin Tools for the 904 DB and Run Conversions

This will take a 10-15 minutes to process.

Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the Epicor904\Client\Config folder and right click each of the default.mfgsys and train.mfgsys files. Use NOTEPAD.EXE to edit the files. Use FIND on the edit menu, find the text: HelpServer (all one word)

Use EpicorClient.msi file from the Epicor904 folder to update the client installation.

Start up an Epicor 9 Client session and allow the auto update process to run. This puts all the client programs into the client installation location.

Log in & Review the training system and new features.
