Long Life PilgrimageThis is an epic adventure, and requires advance planning. We are working with a travel agency and with Rinpoche to create a great trip.
Tentative Plans:
April 1-4th - Arrival into Delhi. During this time, we will visit several sights.April 5th - Travel to Dolanji. Travel agent advises we fly from Chantigar or drive. April 5th - Arrival into Solan. Staying in Hotel in Solan April 6-7th - April 6-7th - Visit sMenri, Rinpoche is organizing special events for our group. Visit sights in Solan April 8th - Long Life Ceremony for His Holiness ~ Plan to spend the day at the Monastery.April 9 ~ Free DayApril 10th - Travel back to Delhi by way of plane, van or train. Rinpoche will travel back with us. April 11th - Travel to Kathmandu - Travel agent will take care of ticketsApril 11th - 14th - Visit Triten Norbuse Monastery and other sites in Kathmandu and NepalApril 15th - Long Life Ceremony for His EmminenceApril 16 -April 16 - You are welcome to continue your visit in Kathmandu or travel back home.
Notes:
* These events will be attended by many people from around the world, so advanced reservations are necessary. * We are six months from this trip. But it takes time to arrange for passports, as well as visas for India and Nepal, and a PAP (Protected Area Permit) for Dolanji. We will provide information as to what you need and how you can get it. * Originally we thought committments should come in by October 20. But because of the amount of people preparing for this trip, the hotels are booking quickl preparing for this trip, the hotels are booking quickly. So we are requesting a committment as soon as possible.* A deposit payable directly with the travel agent will reserve hotel rooms. * Each person will be responsible for making their own travel arrangements to arrive in Dehli and your return back home from Kathmandu. * The flight from Delhi to Kathmandu will be taken care of with the travel agent. * The travel agent will arrange drivers and vehicles and well as Rinpoche arranging vehicles for our use as well. * It is possible to attend only one of the two events if your time does not allow both.
