Have you ever read through the book of Ephesians? We encourage you to take an hour this week and read it from start to finish as we set out to study it as a church. At an average pace the entire book can be read in one hour or less. Consider getting a group of friends to read through it with you and discuss the questions we’ve provided below.

1. In the book of Ephesians we find Paul the apostle writing some of the most worshipful and optimistic truth found in the Bible while imprisoned for his faith. How does his example encourage or challenge you?

2. Ephesians gives us a first century Christian perspective on the nature of the church and our identity as followers of Jesus. Where have you looked most to seek a solid understanding of the church and your identity as a human being?

3. To read about the exciting glimpses of how Paul established the church of the Ephesians read Acts 18:19-19:20 (his stay in Ephesus) and Acts 20:17-38 (his instruction to the Ephesian church leaders).

4. Read the final and tragic words of Jesus regarding the local church in Ephesus in Revelation 2:1-7. What does this final biblical portrait of a church that started so strong and powerfully teach us today?
