Indonesia, a Southeast Asian nation made up of thousands of volcanic islands, is home to hundreds of ethnic groups speaking many different languages. It’s is known for its beaches, volcanoes and jungles sheltering elephants, tigers and Komodo dragons. On the island of Java lies Indonesia's vibrant, sprawling capital, Jakarta, and the city of Yogyakarta, known for gamelan music and traditional puppetry.
Palembang, capital of Indonesia’s South Sumatra province, is a port city on the Musi River. The river, scene of a floating market, is lined with houses on stilts and spanned by the Ampera Bridge. At the bridge’s northern end stands the palatial Museum Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II, exploring regional history. The archaeological site and sacred hill of Bukit Siguntang overlooks the city.

Ampera Bridge is a Vertical-lift bridge in the city of Palembang, South Sumatra, Indonesia, which is the landmark of the city. It connects Seberang Ulu and Seberang Ilir, Two regions of Palembang. It can no longer be opened to allow ships to pass.
Kuto Besak Fort also strengthened with bastions in every corner. Bastion in west side is bigger and same as others fortress in Indonesia, while the other bastions have unique architecture and impossible to find in other places. The main gate of Kuto Besak fort named Lawang Kuto, located in the south side faced to Musi river, while the others gates named Lawang Borotan, located in west and east side, but the west gate is the only gate that still standing.
Monpera (People’s Struggle Monument) is located between the great Mosque of Palembang with the Ampera Brigde and the museum of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II.

Bukit Seguntang is the highest point in Palembang city. The complex is a hill with garden and large trees. On higher grounds within the complex there are some tombs linked by locals to the figures of Malay-Srivijayan royalties and heroes. There are seven Srivijayan figures entombed here
Kemaro Island is one of most popular destinations in South Sumatera. This island is located in a small delta of Musi River, about 6km downstream of Ampera Bridge. Kemaro Island is lies in between the industrial areas of Sriwijaya Fertilizer Plant and Pertamina Oil Refinery in Plaju and Gerong River. It precisely located for about 40km from Palembang.
Kambang Iwak is one of the Dutch heritages located not far from the center of Palembang city. During the Dutch colonial era, the park was built as a recreactional place for the Dutch’s citizens who lived around the park. The park which is located in Tasik Street, Palembang, has become one of the favourite attractions for tourists to enjoy green nature and some Dutch heritage buildings.

EnvAction is an issue-based project with environment and health as the
main issues. Palembang is one of the cities in Indonesia with beautiful
enviroment sites but sadly, they are not well care and not well know by
many people globally or even locally. That’s why this project aims to
empower the environment sites in Palembang.

• Intern will do some roadshow in some place like visiting local school and cooking healty food.
