Why entrepreneurial leadership?

Embedding entrepreneurial leadership at all levels can enable your university or college to deal with challenges, seize opportunities, develop a competitive edge and achieve success.

The development of entrepreneurial leaders in higher education, with mindsets and behaviours such as creative thinking, the willingness and ability to innovate, lead change and take calculated risks has never been more important.

What is entrepreneurial leadership?Entrepreneurial leadership is an approach to leadership that embraces the need for passion, vision, focus and the ability to inspire others. It focuses on having the mindset and abilities to develop new ideas, explore new opportunities, face challenges and influence others to foster innovation and change.

Entrepreneurial leaders are more likely to be able to deal with challenges faced in the current turbulent higher education environment, due to being able to solve problems creatively and use resources effectively.

NCEE’s entrepreneurial leadership programmes can support leadership development at various levels in higher education, both in the UK and internationally.

The programmes allow participants to:

• Hear from inspiring leaders in the sector, learning from their leadership styles, and how they approach challenges

• Have the opportunity to discuss the future of higher education with policy makers and commentators.

• Develop tools and techniques to lead change and innovate in their organisation

NCEE currently offers two programmes on entrepreneurial leadership. Both programmes focus on the development of entrepreneurial leadership skills and introduce strategies to support innovation and implement change.

Entrepreneurial leadership programmes delivered by NCEE

£9,995 (including VAT) This includes accommodation, meals, refreshments and travel during modules.An early bird fee of £8,750 (including VAT) is applicable for bookings received before the end of July 2020.

Cost

Offers an introduction to entrepreneurial leadership for heads of school or service in universities and colleges. The three day interactive programme introduces the concepts of entrepreneurial leadership and change management and how to put them into practice.

The programme runs nationally on selected dates throughout the year and is also available as an in-house programme.

Entrepreneurial Leaders is a well established and highly regarded flagship programme designed for senior university leaders.

Over a series of three residential modules, the programme provides the opportunity to interact with influential policy makers, successful Vice Chancellors, thought leaders and other experts in the field of higher education.
