Dortek Dortek manufacture a range of specialist hygienic door sets and automation systems including the Wen‐plast range of GRP doors. Dortek/Wen‐plast are market leaders in the manufacture and supply of hygienic door solutions to a wide range of sectors including the international pharma, healthcare, food and retail sectors. Dortek GRP doors are manufactured from reinforced polyester and contain no organic material. GRP doors have pressure moulded smooth seamless construction which is easy to clean, does not harbour bacteria and is unaffected by water, steam and most chemicals/cleaning agents. GRP doors are extremely strong and durable, yet light and easy to operate. The built‐in colour of GRP doors is aesthetically pleasing and requires no maintenance. Unlike timber or steel doors, GRP doors will not surface peel, warp, swell, rot or rust, even in the most arduous conditions. Dortek’s clients include Takeda Pharma and Abbott Diagnostics. As part of a refurbishment programme in a GSK plant, the production area was upgraded to hygienic cleanroom materials with minimum ledges and seams and no organic content. Existing laminate doors were deemed incompatible with hygienic requirements and it was decided to replace them with Dortek’s Wenplast® GRP doors, frames, automations and interlocking. A feature particularly important to the client was that Dortek automations do not require a safety edge on the leading edge of the door – a feature which is often damaged during its operating life.

Genable Genable is developing unique gene‐based therapies for the treatment of an entire class of incurable genetic disorders. Genable's technology consists of a suppression and replacement approach for inherited disorders using Ribonucleic Acid Interference (RNAi) as the suppression tool in concert with an altered replacement gene protected from RNAi attack (Millington‐Ward et al Hum Mol Genet. 1997 Sep;6(9):1415‐26). This simple combination eliminates the need to target specific mutations in a wide range of disorders while presenting an effective strategy to overcome dominant negative pathology. The simultaneous delivery of a replacement gene is protected from RNAi attack through alteration of the nucleotide sequence while maintaining the normal amino acid sequence. Kent Stainless Kent Stainless is one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturer of stainless steel drainage systems. It offers a bespoke fabrication service to manufacture to individual needs and designs. Kent’s product offering includes the clean room gully, the automatic deluge gully and the double‐contained gullies, channels and sumps. A suction cup is used to remove the cover when floor drainage is required on an occasional or intermittent basis for when the room gets cleaned and disinfected. The Kent clean room automatic deluge gully cover forms an airtight seal, eliminating the use of open drains and therefore protecting the clean room environment. A pneumatic cylinder opens the clean room cover in the event of the sprinkler system being activated, or if vessels empty or any other discharge. It can also be opened when floor drainage is required on an occasional or intermittent basis when the clean room gets cleaned or disinfected. This is normally operated by sensor control or manual control. Drainage systems from Kent Stainless have been installed in plants for GlasxoSmithKline, Novartis and Pfizer.

The Company pursues the discovery and early to‐mid‐stage clinical development of a broad pipeline of new therapeutic products that selectively target the aberrant biology of the cancer cell to kill tumours with minimised impact on healthy tissues. Lee Oncology’s drug discovery engine is based on a combination of cutting edge cellular assay biology and world‐leading expertise in the medicinal chemistry of kinase inhibition. Discovery biology will be driven by Isogenic Cellular Screening technology, which models clinically‐relevant dysregulation observed in the signalling and apoptosis resistance pathways of cancer cells, and enables rapid screening of compound libraries to identify compounds that selectively target the cancer cell phenotype to induce tumour cell death. Our discovery and development chemistry approach is based on synthesis and deployment of highly innovative compound collections focused on allosteric mechanisms of kinase inhibition. This stands in contrast to the bulk of current kinase inhibitor development programmes and offers enormous potential for discovery of first in‐ class therapeutics based on novel, “non‐ATP‐competitive” mechanisms of action. Clinical use of such allosteric kinase inhibitor drugs will not be restricted by the ATP‐binding site mutations thatare commonly seen to develop in patients undergoing treatment with current front‐line drugs and which ultimately lead to drug resistance, tumour regrowth and treatment failure.
