ENJOYING MARRIAGE------PART 34 he scripture makes it clear that nothing is impossible with God Luke 1:37 That is to say, no situation is beyond God's control. Another way to state it is this, no situation is beyond remedy when God is involved and this includes your marriage. You may be going through a harrowing Texperience in your marriage and you may have concluded that there is no way out of the challenge in your marriage. I have good news for you; there shall be a turnaround for the best in Jesus name. There is nothing beyond God. The same LORD who brought water out of the rock for the children of Israel in the wilderness will bring sweetness out of the relationship between you and your spouse that has gone sour, in Jesus name. There is no one God cannot change. No matter how bad or inhuman your spouse may be the LORD can change his/her heart to begin to do the right thing. Peace shall be mult ipled unto you and your spouse in Jesus name. Let me share something I said in one of the previous edit ions. The Bible in Hebrews 1:3 makes it clear that God upholds all things by the word of His power Hebrews 1:3. The New Living Translation (NLT) of the Bible puts it this way You too can sustain your marriage by the power of God's word. Every situation bows before God and His word. Begin to speak God's word over your spouse by decreeing what the word of God says he/she is; for instance you say this concerning your husband in your private prayer session. “Thus says the LORD, husbands love your wives, I decree in the name of Jesus my husband (ment ion his name) you must begin to love me now in Jesus name”. The LORD will always confirm His word; before you know it the word of God will begin to work in the life of your husband and you will begin to enjoy your marriage. The husbands should also use relevant scriptures while praying for their wives. I pray that you will enjoy your marriage. Let me stop here for now. If Jesus tarries I will cont inue in the next edit ion by God's grace. Unt il then cont inue to enjoy your marriage. “37. For with God nothing shal l be impossible.” “31. Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.” “13. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:” “the man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous”. “He became a very rich man, and his wealth continued to grow”. “1. And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken dil igently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nat ions of the earth: 2. And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.” ou have what it takes to be fruitful; God had settled the issue of your fruitfulness before you were born. No one was created to be a failure; people have a choice; we have a will and we can exercise our will at will. You may not be fruitful if you fail to take the right step. A fish which prefers to stay in the desert as against the water which is its God Y ordained habitat will be roasted by the sun. I shared the example of Isaac in the last edit ion. Isaac was heading for Egypt in a bid to escape the famine, but the LORD asked him not to go to Egypt, but to dwell in the land where He (the LORD) wanted Isaac to dwell Genesis 26:1-3. Isaac obeyed and shelved his plan to go to Egypt. Isaac stayed in Gerar Genesis 26:6. That year was a very remarkable one for Isaac; he had an unusual dimension of harvest. Read what the Bible says concerning him in Genesis 26:12 Isaac had a bumper harvest. That was not all; he began to experience consistent growth in life Genesis 26:13 One translat ion puts it this way, The New Living Translation (NLT) says Isaac did not enjoy this dimension of blessing merely because he was the son of Abraham, he enjoyed it because he was obedient to the LORD. If he had insisted on going to Egypt, who knows, he probably would have suffered loss of some of his wealth. You cannot live in disobedience to God's instruct ion and expect to be fruitful. Every promise of God has a condit ion attached to it. The LORD gave the children of Israel some wonderful promises; typical examples are the ones stated in Deuteronomy chapter 28. The promises stated in that chapter are st ill valid and the children God can claim them, but we should not gloss over what is stated in the f irst two verses of this chapter; Obeying God's commandments and hearkening to His voice is your key to fruitfulness. It does not matter how often you confess what is stated in verses three to thirteen; they will not be actualized in your life unt il you heed verses one and two. I wish to stop for now. If Jesus tarries I shall cont inue in the next edit ion. Unt il then cont inue to be fruitful. 1. There shall be showers of blessing: This is the promise of love; There shall be seasons refreshing, Sent from the Savior above. Refrain Showers of blessing, Showers of blessing we need; Mercy-drops round us are fall ing, But for the showers we plead. 2. There shall be showers of blessing Precious reviving again; Over the hills and the valleys, Sound of abundance of rain. TOPIC: GOD IS MERCIFUL Part 1

Ephesians 2:4 Ephesians 2:4

This is the day that the Lord has made. It is the day of great fruitfulness. He alone will make you fruitful on all sides. Take advantage of the great grace of God to become fruitful so that you will become who God created you to be. God bless you. Shalom.

It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a l iving sacrifice, holy and pleasing to Godthis is your true and proper worship.

Lamentations 3:22-23

Romans Chapter 12 verse 1.

welcome all our friends, well wishers and numerous readers to June 2019, our month of MERCY in the precious name of the LORD Jesus I

Christ. I give the LORD thanks for the privilege to witness the month of June. I pray that this month shall be better for you than the previous ones in Jesus name. By the token of God's mercy you shall enjoy good health all through this month and beyond in Jesus name. Your labor this month shall not be in vain; you shall be more productive this month than the past five months put together in Jesus name. The hand of God shall be on you for good always. No one will have a reason to mock you. You shall be blessed and in turn be a blessing. In Jesus name you shall partake of every good thing the LORD has earmarked for this month. The LORD shall see you through this month and you shall not stumble. The LORD shall grant you open heavens and you shall be soaked with the dew of heaven. The peace of God that transcends human understanding shall envelop your heart in Jesus name.Everyone in the land of the living is a beneficiary of God's mercy. This is a statement of fact and it is without exception. It does not matter if anyone is in doubt of this fact. One group of people who do not appreciate God's mercy is those the Psalmist regards as fools. Why does the Psalmist classify them as fools? He classifies them as fools because they deny the existence of God Psalm 14:1

The Psalmist also repeated this in Psalm 53:1. A fellow who denies the existence of God will certainly not appreciate His works. I pray in Jesus name, you will not be numbered among the fools; you shall continue to enjoy God's mercy; and it shall be well with you. You will appreciate the truth about God's mercy when you read what the writer of Lamentat ion said in Lamentation 3:22-23

I am very mindful of this scripture and I never take it for granted. If you understand the depth of this scripture you will be eternally grateful to God and you will seek to serve Him in sincerity with the whole of your heart. You will understand the depth of this scripture when you ponder on what the Psalmist said in Psalm 130:3

Indeed if the LORD will take our sins against us we will all be consumed. It is His mercy that has held back His judgment from coming on us.

“1. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works,……..”

“22. It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

“3. If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?”

The Psalmist gives us the answer to the quest ion he posed in verse 3 of Psalm 130. This is what he said

The Psalmist said that the LORD forgives. In line with what the writer of Lamentat ion said, this forgiveness is borne out of mercy. I wish to make it clear at this point that mercy is not a license to sin, not at all. The second half of Psalm 130:4 gives us one principal reason why God chooses to have mercy rather than judge. It says, that thou mayest be feared. That is to say, God's mercy should provoke His fear in your heart. God's mercy should make you reverence Him. Please permit me to repeat what I said earlier, mercy is not a license to sin; rather it is an opportunity to know the truth and repent. I want to buttress this with an account in the scripture. A woman was caught committ ing adultery and they brought her to Jesus. They reminded Jesus what the Law of Moses said with respect to someone caught in adultery. According to the Law of Moses she should be stoned to death Levit icus 20:10 “10. And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.” But the Jews wanted to know Jesus' verdict on the issue John 8:1-5

Obviously the Pharisees had a hidden agenda; they wanted to hold something against Jesus- John 8:6a

There were two possible answers the Pharisees were expecting from Jesus, one is, stone the woman as Moses commanded in the law. The other, pardon her. Either of these answers would have painted Jesus in a bad light before the Pharisees. If He gave the first answer, their response would have been, we thought you said you had come to save, how come you are asking us to kill the woman. On the other hand if Jesus had asked them to forgive the woman, they would have accused Jesus of encouraging sin. Thank God Jesus saw what was in their hearts and

“4. But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.”

“…3. And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, 4. They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. 5. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?”

“6. This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him.”

He had to hit them below the belt. Jesus init ially ignored them, but when they were insist ing on gett ing His opinion on the issue He responded to them this way

Obviously the Pharisees did not expect what they got. They were hit below the belt. The answer they got pierced through their hearts. They were convicted and out of shame they all left the scene one after the other in order of seniority leaving the woman behind with Jesus John 8:9

Thank God they took the woman to Jesus. They could have judged her in line with the Law of Moses. Jesus denied the woman what she deserved; she deserved judgment, but with Jesus she found mercy. This is what followed after the Pharisees left John 8:10-11

Mercy does not condemn, rather gives us a chance to repent. The answer of Jesus to the woman is what I regard as the voice of mercy. It is, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Mercy rescued her from the firing line. Mercy rescued her from condemnation. Mercy rescued her from the holier than thou Pharisees; mercy gave her another chance and prolonged her life. Friend, we don't deserve to live; it is God's mercy that is sustaining us. If the LORD will take your sin against you, you will cease to exist, but the LORD is saying to you, go and sin no more. There is nothing we have done to deserve God's mercy. God's mercy is borne out of love - Ephesians 2:4

The LORD demonstrated His love for the whole world by the token of a gift; the gift of His only begotten Son in order to reconcile the world to Himself. The ult imate aim of God's mercy is to lead us to repentance Romans 2:4

I pray that you will take advantage of God's mercy and surrender your life to Jesus. If Jesus tarries I shall cont inue in the next edit ion by God's grace. Until then cont inue to enjoy God's mercy and it shall cont inually be well with you.

“……He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”

“9. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.”

“10. When Jesus had l ifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? 11. She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.”

“4. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,”

“4. Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?”
