R ll C t P j tAs part of the project in ENGR1182.01, your team will:

I t

Roller Coaster Project

• Innovate, • Design, • Build, • Document,• Test a model roller coaster.

To obtain these deliverables, you will learn important tools like:• Time management and task scheduling,

T i ti d ti• Team communications and meetings, • Fair division of labor, • Team member responsibilities.

O ti l R i tOperational RequirementsIn addition to the minimum set of features, your coaster should

also meet the following requirements:• Your roller coaster design must use the full 25 feet of track• Roller coaster track must fit on the lab table top, inside a space that

i 5’ l 4’ idis 5’ long, 4’ wide• The ball must fall into the safety catch bin constructed using

cardboard sheet

P j t N t b kProject NotebookThe purpose of the project notebook is to document all work

fundertaken by the team during the course of the semester. • Project notebook contains all information required for implementation of the project, in a sequential fashion.

Th j t t b k i th 50 i t• The project notebook is worth 50 points.

Project notebooks will be checked on a weekly basis in the b ildi ibuilding sessions

Final submission of Project Notebook within the first five minutes f th O l P t ti i A l t b i i bj tof the Oral Presentation session. Any late submissions are subject

to a 30% deduction (50 x 0.3 ≈ 15 points).
