A group of the Ulema of Yemen have issued a statement clarifying in it the stance of the mujahidin from the truce offered by the Ulema, and on the other hand the shameful stance of the Sana’a government that is dragged behind the projects of America and its agents the states of the Gulf.And since we confirm the authenticity of the context of this statement which a copy of it reached to us from the Ulema, we publish it once again to clarify the truth and explain our stance, and Allah is behind the intention and He guides to the (right) path.

In compliance with what Allah Almighty ordered of seeking conciliation between the disputants, and in following his guidance peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, due to what we see happening in our land of Yemen from fighting and spilling of the infallible blood that Allah Almighty ordered to preserve, in order to achieve security and stability in the country, a group of Ulema and Da’is of Yemen sought to reconcile between the state and Al-Qaeda Organization in the Arabian Peninsula, and after offering the issue of conciliation to the Yemeni state is expressed its willingness and desire and keenness represented in the head of Political Security service who in turn offered the issue to the president of the republic, then the committee of mediation offered the conciliation to the leadership of the Al-Qaeda Organization, and they expressed approval and desire and keenness also, and after the deliberation between the two sides to keep the mechanism of the conciliation and for both sides to offer their conditions which resemble the items of the conciliation, the committee of mediation demanded that there be a truce before the conciliation so that the items of the conciliation could be discussed by the two sides in the presence of the Ulema, elders and sheikhs of Yemen in an atmosphere prevailed by

security, the state expressed its approval and readiness for a temporary truce for a period of two months, and the committee with a group of Ulema met the leadership of Al-Qaeda Organization, and they agreed on the items of the truce, and the Amir of the organization brother Nassir Abdel Karim Al-Wuhayshi signed it, also Al-Qaeda Organization in the Arabian Peninsula expressed its absolute readiness for conciliation in the presence of several Ulema, elders and sheikhs of Yemen, and after offering the approval and signing of the truce from Al-Qaeda Organization to the state, and the head of the Political Security service set a period of three days to offer it to the president to authorize whom he sees to sign it, and after several meetings of the committee with head of the Political Security service and its demand to meet the president of the republic to execute it, and after the end of the deadline the Ulema and the committee of mediation was surprised of not signing what was agreed on previously.And thus the committee of mediation and the Ulema who sought for the conciliation to discharge from liability and to clarify the truth declares the following:Firstly: Not signing the truce was from the state despite of its previous approval, and they by that hold the state the full responsibility.Secondly: We hold the state responsible for the violation of the sanctities of the Muslims and the shed of blood between the armed and security forces and Al-Qaeda Organization, and allowing the American warplanes to violate the Yemeni skies, and violation of the blood of the Muslims, and they remind it of the punishment of Allah Almighty and His severe torture in the Dunya and hereafter.Thirdly: We demand the Ulema, sheikhs and elders of the country and the political parties and human rights organizations and all the sons of Yemen to seek and demand the state to sign for the public interest of the people and country.
