Either distribute tabloid newspapers in class or have them “research” online/in German gossip magazines etc. The challenge is to relay info in English – mediation style! •Pre-teach useful phraes for gossiping (Have you heard about? Did you know? And responses “Really?!” I don’t believe it! You don’t say!).•Once everyone has a story to gossip about S circulate, gossiping to each other about their “news”.
