The English Summer School runs at two of our colleges: Ealing Green College and Hammersmith & Fulham College. The minimum age to apply for this course is 16*.
*Please note that there may be a small number of under 16 year-olds who are studying as part of a bespoke group. Students who are aged 16—17 will study with students aged 18+ and will therefore be treated as adults.
Welcome to Ealing, Hammersmith & West London’s CollegeThe College has been running a successful English Language Summer School for over 27 years. This summer we are offering a great package, including a range of General English classes from elementary to advanced level, Business English, Cambridge exam courses and IELTS preparation classes for students from all over the world. We can also provide you with a London cultural experience and a full social programme.
WELCOME
Ealing Green College has a warm, friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy views overlooking Walpole Park. It is situated minutes away from Ealing Broadway and South Ealing Underground stations and has a cosmopolitan mix of restaurants, shops and bars.
Each college is equipped with a learning centre, a gym and a student common room and both are suitable for a fun and exciting study holiday experience.
Hammersmith & Fulham College is our largest campus with over 10,000 students. Situated just outside Barons Court underground station and located near the River Thames, the college is only 15 minutes away from central London and the cafes, bars and shops in Hammersmith and Kensington.

HomestaysHomestay accommodation provides students with two choices: breakfast only or half board. Homestays are particularly beneficial if students wish to stay in a home environment and have the opportunity to learn the local culture while practising English. If you would like to book homestay accommodation you will need to contact the homestay provider directly. We have worked many years with London Host Families who are based in the west London area.
See londonhostfamilies.com
Please note: that all homestays are properly vetted by the agency. Students will not share a room with another guest, but the homestay may well host other guests that are aged 18+.

Organising the right accommodation is very important to ensure that students have a happy stay in the UK. The college does not offer an accommodation service but there are several accommodation options available to you:
• Homestays
• Hostels and hotels
• Halls of Residence
• Private rented accommodation

Halls of ResidenceStudent Halls of Residence in London can provide either the privacy of a self-contained room or shared rooms and facilities. Halls of Residence get booked up quickly so applications for accommodation must be made well in advance.

Hostels Hostels provide accommodation in the form of a shared room with access to a communal bathroom and kitchen. Bear in mind that most hostels only accept students aged 18+.

Private Rented AccommodationThis type of accommodation provides greater privacy and independence. Students can move into shared accommodation or live independently in rooms, flats and houses let by their owners for residential purposes. It is generally cheaper than Halls of Residence but you may have to pay extra for utility bills.

Please note: these accommodation options are booked at the student’s own risk as they have not been vetted by the College.

LONDON SOCIAL PROGRAMMEFor many students, an important part of the Summer School is the opportunity to make new friends from other countries and visit London. The College runs an afternoon and evening social programme with regular activities and sightseeing trips.
There are also weekend trips outside London so you can see parts of England. These include Brighton, Oxford, Cambridge and Windsor.
Many of the attractions are free of charge. However, you are expected to pay for your own transport.
You will be given a social programme timetable and can book your place on the activities and trips you would like to take part in. You can visit the London Eye, the Tower of London, the London Dungeon, Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum and many other famous London sights. There are also trips to Harrods, the Hard Rock Cafe, the theatre and a salsa club. You can also use the College gym and fitness centre, and there are regular football matches. There is definitely something for everyone to enjoy!
Examples of activities/excursions you can enjoy are on the next page.
Students who are aged 16—17 will go on excursions with students aged 18+ and will therefore be treated as adults.
