The Student Satisfaction survey is an ongoing effort to obtain feedback from undergraduate students across the University in a systematic way. Understanding students' experiences and satisfaction is important in our efforts to enrich the student experience and to make it a more student-centered University. This effort provides the University with an overview and serves as a diagnostic tool to make improvements to our programs and services.

OBJECTIVE

This report carries out a satisfaction survey to establish exactly how students feel about the services and facilities provided by the University.

To enable feedback about facility and services to be tracked over time. Feedback from our students reveals whether their expectations regarding the University are

being met.

METHODOLOGY

A survey, hosted by Biosciences students, carried out in March 2016. The survey consisted of 11 questions about the students’ experience of SZABIST, and the

communication with different contact points within the SZABIST. This survey asks students to assess educational, social, and other aspects of the University. How

effective is the teaching? Is their academic advisor helpful? Do students feel safe on campus? When you get to know what your students want, you can improve certain programs and your overall enrollment and retain students.

The data used in this report is rounded up or down to the nearest whole percentage. The written report is based on valid responses, i.e. if a respondent did not answer a question, or answered it incorrectly they were excluded from the analysis for that question.

CONCLUSION

DISCUSSION:The overall findings and conclusions of the Student Satisfaction Study revealed quite positive aspects about the quality of education provided to students at SZABIST. Many students gave extremely positive responses to questions regarding how easy it is to register for courses and regarding the positive interactions with batch mates. Secondly, students appeared to be quite satisfied in the areas regarding the quality of effective teaching in both major and minor courses, academic advisory support with regards to campus safety and security, moreover students showed quite a positive response to prescribing this University to others. Furthermore, students were highly unsatisfied with the food served at the University and the policies that the University sets. In view of these results, the primary purpose of the Student Satisfaction Study was to identify the factors affecting student evaluations of the quality of undergraduate services. The majority of the Student Satisfaction Survey respondents (60%) evaluated the teaching was quite effective within the major courses. Furthermore students were unsatisfied in areas with which other students seemed fairly happy. Therefore, it was concluded that SZABIST is doing quite good job providing a quality educational experience to the majority of students enrolled. However, SZABIST have to improve the quality of undergraduate education appear to be making a positive impact because of the areas that are problematic for a considerable number of students who are not satisfied. The student satisfaction survey findings are striking in that they identify the need for improvements in a wide variety of areas.

RECOMMENDATION: Recommendations addresses the need to intensify efforts to create a student-centered, service-oriented climate and a campus community that values and appreciates diversity. Concerns emerged from the policies that the SZABIST sets and the food that is being served at the University. For achieving the recommendation will require the collective efforts, time, concern, and resources of many administrators, faculty, staff and students throughout the campus by:

Creating throughout the University community a service-oriented climate that clearly and explicitly communicates to all students concern for their individual needs.

Conducting an in-depth study of campus safety aimed toward understanding and improving student satisfaction with safety and security on campus.

Improving the quality of food provided by the University.
