Present Tense verbs shows an action that is happening now and always.
Examples:
The horse runs.I want a hot dog.The girl is watching T.V.
Past Tense
Past Tense verbs shows an action that has already happened.
Examples:
I jumped. The dog ran after the cat.The baby cried last night.

To form the past tense of regular verbs, add ed to the plain form of the verb.In verbs ending with a consonant letter and y, change the y to i and add ed.
hurry- hurried carry-carried
In verbs ending with e add d.
love – loved skate – skated
In verbs ending with a short vowel sound and a single consonant letter, double the final consonant and add ed:
drag – dragged hop - hopped
Future Tense
Future Tense verbs shows an action that is expected to happen, future tense verbs use be going to, will or shall.
Examples:
I am going to buy more candy. My sister will buy me a new coat. Shall we go out tonight?
