ENGINEERS’ DAY CELEBRATIONS

The IEEE student branch of Pragati Engineering College celebrated “Engineers’ Day” in

respect to Bharat Ratna Sir Sri Mokshagundam Visveswaraya, who was born this day in

1860 .This programme was conducted in the E-Class room, in afternoon session. On this

event Principal of the College, Head of the Department, teaching and non-teaching members

of the department are present.

FRESHER’S DAY FUNCTION

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of the college celebrated

Fresher’s Day function inviting the I year students involving the second year students on

27.09.2014.

NATIONAL UNITY DAY

1. Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta

Divas) on 31st October on the eve of Sardar Vallabhai Patel birthday celebrations for his efforts

and struggle for bringing unity in India. On this Occasion, Department of Electrical & Electronics

Engineering took pledge from all the staff and Students of EEE.

NATIONAL EDUCATON DAY

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Celebrated National Educaton

Day on the eve of Birth day anniversary of Sri Moulana Abul Kalam Azad on 11th

November, 2014. On this occation to create awareness on Education and its Importance,

elocution was conducted among the students of EEE Department on topic “Indican

Education and Global Challenges”. This event was conducted in association with Electrical

Engineering Association of EEE Department. 3 Members are awareded as winners of the

Elocution.

INTERNATIONAL STUDNETS DAY

2. Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized International Studnets

Day on 17th

November, 2014 on the eve of Shikshith Bharat & Sanksham Bharat. On this

occasion to get the new ideas about quality education and its importance a Group Discussion

was conducted among the students of EEE Department on Topic-“Qulatiy Education for All”

which had immense resposnse from the students of EEE, and 2 members are declared as

winners.


ENGINEERS’ DAY CELEBRATIONS (2013-14):

The IEEE student branch of Pragati Engineering College had celebrated “Engineer’s

Day” as a mark of respect to Bharat Ratna Sir Sri Mokshagundam Visveswarayya’s Birthday

celebrations .The programme was conducted in the E-Class room, from 2pm to 4pm,on 15-09-

2013. Principal of the College, teaching and non-teaching members, Students of the department

attended this event.

Dr.S.Sambhu Prasad, Principal of the College addressed the gathering and explained the

achievements of Sir Mokshagundam Visveswarayya and Sir Arthur Cotton. He emphasized the

need of Continuous learning, Sincerity and Hard working in doing the works and adoptability to

the situations to meet the present needs of the country.

Then Sri G.Naresh, Associate Professor of EEE and IEEE student branch counselor

remembered great scientists and their works. He recollected the quotes of Albert Einstein &

Scott Adams .

Later Sri. A.Ramesh, Associate Professor of EEE & In Charge HoD of EEE had given a

seminar on “Contributions of Eminent Scientists and Engineers to the field of Electrical

Engineering”.

Sri.Y.Satya Prasanth, Asst.Professor of EEE proposed the vote of thanks

This event gave an opportunity to everyone to remember and cherish the works of Sir

Visvesvarayya.


ENGINEERS’ DAY CELEBRATION (2012-13):

Department of EEE celebrated Engineer’s Day on 15.09.2012 on account of Sir

Mokshagundam Visweswarayya Birthday celebrations and on this occasion Elocution and

Technical Quiz competitions are conducted. Prof. K. Satyanarayana HOD of EEE Department

welcomed the gathering and Chief Guest of the function, Dr.S.Sambhu Prasad, Principal of the

college addressed the staff and students regarding the importance of Engineering Education and

its Effective Utilization. The winners of the above competitions are awarded with mementos by

Dr.S.Sambhu Prasad, Principal of the College and Prof. K. Satyanarayana, HOD of EEE and

Staff members.

FRESHER’S DAY :

FRESHERS’S DAY CELEBRATION (2012-13):

Our II EEE students organized freshers’ fest on 26.09.2012 in our college to welcome

their juniors for electrifying the sprit in the course of electrical engineering. Prof. K.

Satyanarayana, HOD of EEE and Dr. A. Kailasa Rao, Director & Prof. welcomed the gathering

and Chief Guest of the function, Dr.S.Sambhu Prasad, Principal of the college addressed the first

and second year students regarding the importance of Fresher’s day.

ENGINEETING COLLEGE had celebrated Engineers Day on 15.09.2011 on account of Sir

Mokshagundam Visveswaraya Birthday. The event was conducted in Seminar Hall. On this

Event 165 Students of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Pragati engineering

college are participated. The event was started at 9:30 A.M

Prof. K. Satyanarayana HOD of EEE Department welcomed the gathering. Event

Co-ordinator Mr. A. Ramesh, Associate Prof of EEE explain the Event Details. Elocution

competition was conducted.

“ RAJIVGANDHI AKSHAY URJA DIWAS” RENEWABLE ENERGY DAY (2009-10):

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Pragati Engineeering college

celebrated Birth Anniversary of Late Sri Rajivgandhi ,former Prime Minister on 20-8-09 as

“Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Diwas”, in Association with NEDCAP. Inconectionwith this

Essay writing competitions & Elocution competitions were conducted on “Non-conventional

Energy sources “ in the college.Nearly 68 Students participated in this competition out of which

two students were selected for I Prize & two students were selected for II prize. Sohini De ECE-

B got first prize and S.Ratnakumari III EEE got second Prize in Essay Writing Competition,

where as Mr. Sriraj got first prize and Ch.Gayatri got second prize in the Elocution Competition

The following prizes were distributed by the Chairman of college Dr. P. Krishnarao garu in

a function organized by the EEE Department. The chairman of the college in his speech

congratulated the winners. Prof. K. Satyanarayana, HOD of EEE delivered the speech about

utilization of non-conventional energy sources to meet day-by-day energy requirements
