Engage, Simplify, and Execute with Innovations Across SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite

In our ongoing commitment to provide engaging and efficient HR solutions, SuccessFactors, an SAP company, is pleased to announce multiple new innovations available for the entire SAP SuccessFactors® HCM Suite with the Q4 2015 release.

Highlights in the Q4 2015 release include: • New intelligent services enhancements include notifications that will alert you to key events and changes

• New feature for integrating contingent labor data replicates data from Fieldglass software to the SAP Success-Factors Employee Central solution

• New mobile apply functionality enables candidates to apply to jobs from any Internet-connected device, including tablets and smartphones

• New mobile learning enhancements allow instructors to record learning attendance using QR codes on the iPad

• New country version of the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll solution is available for the Czech Republic

• New time and attendance management enhancements enable time-based recording of working time as well as negative time recording

• New group analytics dashboard in SAP® Jam™ makes it easy for group administrators to get quick answers about their group health using a graph

We are also excited to announce the availability of the SAP Time and Attendance Management application by WorkForce Software, which combines market-leading workforce management capabilities from WorkForce Software with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM SuiteIn our continued efforts to simplify experi-ences for the workforce, we’ve updated the employee directory, included additional advanced search and filter options, and improved the presenta tion and clarity of search results.

We’ve also added an “Out of Office” display status for individuals in commonly accessed areas, such as people profile, quick cards, and org chart, so you can see employee leave information without drilling into profile details.

And finally, following our widely acclaimed introduction of the intelligent services feature, we’ve added notifications that will alert you to key events and changes. For example, if an employee changes departments, a notification will be sent to review the goal plan for the new department based on the organizational change.

New Solution: SAP Time and Attendance Management by WorkForce Software

SAP and WorkForce Software have entered into a partnership for SAP to resell the SAP Time and Attendance Management application by WorkForce Software on a global basis, as part of its SAP Solution Extensions.

SAP Time and Attendance Management by WorkForce Software is a cloud-based solution for time and labor management. The solution enables customers to automate time and attendance processes, ensure compliance with absence regulations, and optimize staff scheduling.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee CentralThe document generation feature has been enhanced to use place holders in templates with multiple entries, such as pay components. So you can generate documents with employee master data for both past and future dates. And you can apply auto delegation to all workflow requests, irrespective of the number of users initially addressed.

We continue to provide country-specific content for:

• Germany: Periods of sick leave can be combined if the relevant illnesses are the same in each period or overlap across periods

• Spain: Periods of sick leave can be combined if the relevant illnesses are similar

Time and Attendance Management

With enhancements to make the time and attendance management feature more versatile:

• Employees can now record their time in payroll time sheet using clock times – recording the actual start and end times of their work.

• Collision checks in time off and payroll time sheet prevent certain time records with start times and end times from existing in parallel.

• You can now use negative time recording methods in payroll time sheet to record only deviations from the planned working time. Time sheet entries are generated automatically and merged with the actual recording of deviations to generate the overall records.

Total Workforce Management

For customers using Fieldglass software to manage external workers, we’ve added a new integration feature to replicate data from Fieldglass software to the contingent worker profile in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. In addition, we added notification capabilities and simplified provisioning of contingent worker features in the upgrade center.

Global Benefits

Now, you can specify rules to determine the benefit salary, or round the salary, before premium rates are applied. The system supports you in rounding by configuring benefit salary calculation and coverage rules.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll

We’re continuing to refine our country-specific capabilities with several enhancements:

• A new country version of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll is now available for the Czech Republic.

• An option to adapt replication according to country-specific legal changes and requirements of the postal code for Ireland, account number for China, and alternate language birth name for Japan is available.

• To meet the legal requirements of Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands, the time-off fields for continued sick pay, relationship indicator, and illness description code are now being replicated from time off to payroll functionality in the SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM) solution and SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.

A new team view in the payroll control center enables payroll administrators to pull tasks from the process queue, assign the tasks to themselves, and complete the task.

SAP SuccessFactors Talent Solutions

SAP SuccessFactors Succession & Development

We’re pleased to announce that employees, managers, and HR can now quickly and easily access and view a full job profile (not just the job title and description) in the SAP SuccessFactors Succession & Development solution. Powered by our job performance builder feature, you can click on the future and suggested roles to get more details about the job and its requirements.

Additionally, we’re continuing to simplify succession planning by adding a number of enhancements to the recently enhanced succession org chart, such as the ability to nominate individuals for successor roles from the talent card and the ability to directly assign learning to the successor.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

In this release, we’re continuing to enhance our mobile learning capabilities in the SAP SuccessFactors Learning solution. You can now record learning attendance using QR codes on the iPad. As part of the recently launched instructor role, an instructor can simply open up the app and choose to scan attendance. As students enter the classroom, the instructor can scan the QR code from a learner’s phone or from an e-mailed enrollment notification, and the learner will be checked in with his or her own templates.

We’re also introducing a new notifications editor which makes it easier for learning administrators to create and edit e-mail notifications. Plus, we’re making it easier to create and edit certificates of completion. The means you can more easily create and modify completion certificates, and apply templates more granularly at the item level.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

Global forms expansion

We’ve expanded our ‘out of the box’ forms support to include four additional countries – Australia, Canada, India, and the United Kingdom. SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding solution customers in these countries can instantaneously offer critical forms to new hires to fill out in an intuitive Web-based interface – ensuring compliance and data accuracy. These forms include Tax file number declaration in Australia, Transfer Claim Form in India, Personal Tax Credits Return in Canada, and the Starter Checklist in the United Kingdom.

New workqueue enhancements

To continue improving our user experience across the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite, we’re introducing a new look and feel to the workqueue feature in SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding. This enhancement will make it easier for HR end users to see onboarding status to identify any bottlenecks or overdue items in the process and determine when actions need to be taken.

Hiring manager activities reporting

We’re excited to announce that reporting is now available for hiring manager activities in both ad hoc reporting functionality and the SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics solution. This means you can gain visibility into your processes, efficiencies, and bottlenecks, as well as gain insight into which hiring managers are effectively onboarding new hires.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Solutions

New mobile apply functionality

We’re excited to bring you – and your candidates – a modern, new way to apply for positions. With our new mobile apply functionality, candidates can now apply to jobs from any Internet-connected device, including tablets and smartphones. Mobile apply provides an incredibly engaging, easy application process, and includes support for uploading resumes from cloud-based document storage, such as Google Drive or Dropbox.

SAP SuccessFactors Compensation

With this release, we’ve made it even easier for managers to review and share compensation statements with employees. Managers can download a formatted PDF version of the compensation statement from the worksheet and employee profile that can easily be e-mailed or printed.

SAP SuccessFactors MobileWe’re thrilled to announce the release of a completely redesigned mobile app for Android, now delivering the same great user experience as our apps for iPhone and iPad. This redesign provides support for Android for Work, allowing users to separate business apps from personal apps so they can use their Android device for both work and play and fully leverage Android’s productivity apps.

To meet individual company’s security requirements, administrators can now require longer, more complex passwords to replace current 4-digit numeric passwords.

We’ve also expanded mobile approvals, including several new workflow approvals, such as position approval and time sheet approval.

Lastly, requesting time off on a mobile device has become much more versatile. Employees can now edit the duration of their leave in various ways, from hours and minutes to fractions of days.

Integration Add-Ons for SAP SuccessFactors HCM SuiteOngoing enhancements to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central integrations enable:

• The ability to integrate mass positions from SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central to organizational management functionality in SAP ERP HCM, including assigning mass positions to multiple holders

• Additional filtering information by country while replicat-ing employee organizational assignments from SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central to SAP ERP HCM for different countries

• Additional migration and replication features in a side-by-side deployment model of employee depen-dents data and employment and job entities in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

• Enhancements in third-party integrations with labor levels opened for customer mapping in Kronos Workforce Central integration, and support for custom payment information and direct deposits

• The ability to send additional fields in mapping through improved integration between SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Benefitfocus using SAP HANA Cloud Integration technology

SAP Jam

Customizable Company Home Page

The home page, which all users see immediately upon entry to the SAP® Jam™ social software platform, is now customizable by company administrators. SAP Jam customers have asked for the ability to customize the home page within SAP Jam so that information, such as HR benefits elections deadlines, new learning course offerings, and other important announcements, be placed front and center within SAP Jam.

The home page now has many of the capabilities that have been available in group overview pages – a drag-and-drop interface whereby various content widgets can be placed and customized to suit your company’s needs. Your administrator can add images, videos, text, or documents to the home page, providing quick and easy access to information up front and right where all SAP Jam users see it when they log in.

Group Analytics Dashboard

The new group analytics dashboard helps group adminis-trators improve and maintain the overall health of the group by measuring and monitoring group membership and engagement levels to help lower total cost of ownership (TCO). The dashboard is located in a group administrator panel and provides analytics for membership, engagement, collaboration level, and various content metrics.

The dashboard is filterable and makes it easy for the group administrator to get quick answers to common questions using a graph – without having to download, manipulate, and analyze data. Group administrators can easily answer ROI and engagement questions, such as “What are the most useful training materials in the last 60 days?”

Microsoft Office Integration

A new installable add-in for Microsoft Office users brings real-time collaboration to learning content creation and course materials stored within the SAP Jam social software platform. The new SAP Jam, collaboration add-in for Microsoft Office adds an SAP Jam collaboration panel to the three core Microsoft Office applications – Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. The panel includes the docu-ment’s specific SAP Jam activity feed as shown in the Web version of SAP Jam. Learners, content creators, and instructors can communicate, comment, reply, and view the document’s metadata directly from within the Microsoft Office application.

Google Drive for Work as a Content Repository

Joining the extensive list of cloud and on-premise content management and document repositories is Google Drive for Work. Content, documents, and videos stored within the cloud-based Google Drive for Work can now be easily accessed directly from within the interface of the SAP Jam social software platform without having to leave SAP Jam. Once an SAP Jam group administrator has attached a remote repository folder to a group, users can view, annotate, and download their remotely stored documents directly from SAP Jam.
