1. Applications are invited from unmarried Male Candidates who have passed10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (Hereinafterreferred to as PCM) subjects and fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed inthe subsequent paragraphs, for the grant of Permanent Commission in theArmy after 4 years of Basic Military Training and Technical Training thereafterwith the terms and conditions given in the succeeding paragraphs.

2. ELIGIBILITY:(a) Nationality: A candidate must either be : (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) Asubject of Bhutan, or (iii) A subject of Nepal, or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who cameover to India before the 1st of January 1962 with the intention of permanentlysettling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan,Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the UnitedRepublic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethopia and Vietnam withthe intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belongingto categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour acertificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to theexamination provisionally subject to the necessary certificate being given tohim by the Govt before declaration of result by SSB/joining training.(b) Age Limit: A candidate must not be below 16½ years and above 19½years on the first day of the month in which the course is commencing i.e. thecandidate should not be born before 01 Jan 1996 and not after 01 Jan1999 (both days inclusive). The date of birth accepted by the office is thatentered in the Marticulation or Secondary School Leaving certificate or in thecertificate recognised by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation orin an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University whichextract must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in theHigher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificate. No other documentrelating to age will be accepted. The expression Matriculation/ Higher SecondaryExamination Certificate in this part of the instruction includes the alternativecertificate mentioned above.NOTE 1: Candidate should note only the date of birth as recorded in theMatriculation/ Higher Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalentcertificate on the date of submission of applications will be accepted and nosubsequent request for its change will be considered or granted.NOTE 2: Candidates should also note that once a date of birth has beenclaimed by them and entered in the records, no change will be allowedsubsequently or a subsequent examination on any ground whatsoever.NOTE 3: Candidates must undertake not to marry until they complete their fulltraining. A candidate who marries subsequent to the date of his application,though successful, will not be selected for training. A candidate who marriesduring training shall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditureincurred on him by the government.(c) Educational Qualification: Only those candidates who have passed 10+2Examination or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 70% marks inPhysics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized education boardsare eligible to apply for this entry. Eligibility conditions for calculating % ofPCM will be followed as per the present guideliness/ instructions in vogue ofvarious state/central Boards.

3. TYPE OF COMMISSION:(a) Permanent Commission: On successful completion of 4 years of thecourse cadets will be granted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rankof Lt. (b) Grant of Commission: On successful completion of total 04 yearstraining,the candidates will be commissioned in the rank of Lt. They will begranted seniority on overall order of merit of the three technical institutescombined i.e. CME, MCTE, MCEME and in case the date of commissioningcoincides with that of IMA, Dehradun, they will be placed en-block junior toIMA (NDA / ACC / DE Course ) but above TGC / UES course.

4. VACANCIES: 90(a) Vacancies are provisional and can be changed depending on the trainingcapacity at the training Academy for this course. (b) The vacancies are subjectto increase/decrease keeping the organizational requirement at the point oftime.

5. TRAINING: Total training will be 5 years, Details as under:(a) Basic Military Training: 1 year (Officer Training Academy Gaya).(b) Technical Training: (i) Phase-I (Pre Commission Training): 3 Years (CMEPune,MCTE Mhow and MCEME Secunderabad), (ii) Phase-II (Post CommissionTraining):1 year at CME Pune, MCTE Mhow and MCEME Secunderabad.(c) Award of Degree: The candidates will be awarded Engineering degreeafter successful completion of training as given out in para 6 (a) and (b) above.No ante date seniority will be admissible to candidates on account of thisEngineering degree. In case they fail to qualify in the following year examination,the same will result in loss of seniority to them and they will forfiet seniority tothe extent of delay in passing Engineering degree examination. 6. HOW TO APPLY: Application will only be accepted on line. To do so thecandidates need to click on the “online application” button on websitewww.joinindianarmy.nic.in(a) Detailed instructions for filling up online application form are available oncethe candidates click “Online Application Link”(b) After submitting online application, candidates are required to obtain twocopies of the application printout and the Roll Number generated by thesystem. One copy of the print out application duly Signed by hecandidate will be carried to the selection centre for the SSB interviewalong with affixed photograph attested by a gazatted officer of Central/StateGovt, photocopies of Class 10th Certificate/Mark sheet showing date of birthand 12th Class Certificate alongwith mark sheets duly attested by Gazettedofficer and all the above certificates in original. Any candidate who does notcarry all these document for the SSB interview, his candidature will be cancelled.(c) The second copy of the printout of online application is to retainedby the candidate for his reference. No need to send any hard copy toDG Rtg / Rtg Dte.(d) Candidates must submit only one application, Receipt of multipl applicationsfrom the same candidate will result in cancellation of candidature.

7 ONLINE APPLICATION WILL OPEN ON 21 OCT 2014 AT 1000 HRS ANDWILL BE CLOSED ON 28 NOV 2014 AT 1000 HRS.Note:(a) Any change in your postal address after submission of applicationmust be communicated by post duly quoting your Roll No, name and courseopted for.(b) All original certificates along with two attested copies each Will be carriedby the candidate for SSB interview. Originals will be returned after verification atthe Service Selection Board itself.

8. SELECTION PROCEDURE: The selection procedure is as follows :-(a) Short listed candidates will be called for Services Selection Board (SSB)interview at Bhopal, Bangalore or Allahabad. Interviews will be held in Feb/Mar2015 onwards.(b) Duration of SSB interviews is five days excluding day of arrival and thecandidates will put through two stage selection procedure and details of thesame are available at official website of Rtg Dte www.joinindianarmy.nic.in

9. CHANGE OF INTERVIEW DATES Request for change of SSB Interviewdate should be avoided. However, under most unavoidable circumstances, suchchange may be considered based on the circumstances of the case. This willbe an exception rather the rule. Request for such change should be forwardedto Selection Centre from where the call-up letter for SSB interview has beenreceived and not to Directorate General Recruiting. The Selection Centre maypermit change of date at their discretion.

10. MEDICAL//PHYSICAL STANDARDS FOR 10+2 (TES) ENTRY.

(a) Candidates must be physically fit according to the prescribed physicalstandards.(b) The guidelines for the same are available at official website of Rtg Dtewww.joinindianarmy.nic.in(c) A candidate recommended by the Services Selection Board will undergo amedical examination by a Board of Service Medical of ficers. NOTE: They are not entitled to special nursing.

11. REASONS FOR REJECTION OF APPLICATION(a) Incomplete applications in any respect.(b) Variation in names and spellings as recorded in application/Matric or equivalentcertificate not supported by affidavite.(c) Non-attachment of copy of 10th class certificate for age proof and 12thclass marksheet for proof of PCM % duly attested by a Govt. Gazetted officerNo other certificate is valid for authentication of age.(d) Without attested photograph affixed on application form(e) Application not signed by Candidate(f) Submission of more than ONE application.(g) Any ambiguity / false information/ concealment of information detected inthe certificates (mentioned at para 6 (b)) will result in cancellation of thecandidature at any stage of selection.
