Future of learning

When we stop to think about how we learned a new language, or a new skill in our life, we can tell how different things are working now a days. English course in 12 months! That was so crazy to think some time ago, but now everybody is in a hurry, and this kind of methodology exists.Thinking ahead, methodology is not the only new thing that we can see in the process of acquiring a new language. Technology is a reality, and it is bigger than just computers. Internet is essential! Everything works online. Learning a new language is not different.Today, you can study English with a foreign teacher, in your house, and the teacher, miles and miles away. And it works! And I cant talk just about classes. There is a variety of sources to help the learning process. Movies, TV Shows, series and a lot of native English material are available in our computer. Ok, but its not that new. Our computers are in our hands, our smartphones make internet, and all this contents, so easily accessible from everywhere.Internet so easy like this, brought the social networks for our daily life in a crazy way! Everything can be made through Facebook, Skype, Tumblr, Linkedin and others. As a teacher, we have been using, and seeing, those social networks, as the best tool for all age students. They allow us to be closer to the students, to contact foreign people, making the students test their own skills with the new language.The geographic barriers are smaller, easier to transpose and not an excuse to don't learn a new language. We can make our world smaller, in our hands; through smartphones our learning possibilities and tools have become endless.
