Project goal

« The project aims to implement in the PACA region an innovative

and replicable local energy architecture (VPP) optimizing the

integration of Distributed Generation and storage, dynamic load

control and energy efficiency initiatives to relieve stress on the

local electrical power grid (reduce peak load) while reducing CO2

within the territory »

Budget : 8M€

2,5 M€ funding by PACA region

Phase 1 : Studies (2008 – mid2009)

Phase 2 : Operating phase

Installation : 01/2009 to 07/2009

Exploitation : summer 2009 to winter 2011

Results : spring 2011

Objectives of the demonstration project

• To develop and test a VPP at the distribution system level use of existing Distributed Resource technologiescommunication with a Control Unit requests for load reduction are based on local load peak and national CO2

emissions

• To identify weakness and strengths of the existing Distributed Resource technologies and requirements when integrated into this VPP
