Black Rhinos
Black Rhinos have two horns on a bulky snout and bulky body. Because of that
description the black rhino stands out from many other animals in the African
homeland. There are f our other species of rhino : white, Indian, Sumatran, and
Javan can you tell them a part?(they are not in the picture above those are black
rhinos) and to make things more conf using black rhinos are not black and white
rhinos are not white. Black rhinos are actually slate gray if the black rhino gets
dirty it will look reddish. Black Rhinosweigh 800- 1,350kg and can be as tall as
143- 160cm high they also can be as long as 286- 305cm long. Black Rhinos need
a good supply of f ood and water. Black rhinos are endangered because we hunt

grams there are 50-80 left in thewild. Red wolves can be red, black, brown, gray, or yellow. They are
endangered because they live in f orests and trees are getting cut down.
Also they are getting over hunted. Red wolves are not as tall and more
slender than their gray wolf cousins. Adult male red wolves weigh about
60-80 pounds and femalesweigh about 40-60 pounds red wolves are
larger than coyotes. Red wolves live in f orests, swamps, and coasts and
prairies. Their dens are mostly located in hollow trees. The scientific

Black f ooted Ferrets
Black f ooted ferrets are a member of the weasel family. It is the only breed of ferret native to
north America. The domesticated ferret (the kind you buy in pet stores) actually came from
Europe and is a lot calmer than the Black f ooted ferret. Yes it is only about six inches tall but
they have razo
r sharp claw
s made f o
r digging and its stro
ng teeth and jaw
are made f o
r chew
ingmeat since they are carnivores. A black f ooted ferret can eat up to 100 prairie dogs a year. A
black f ooted ferrets life span is 3-4 years in the wild and8-9 years in captivity. They are 18-24
inches long and they weigh as little as 1.5-2.5 pounds. Mating season f or a black f ooted ferret
is march through April. Black f ooted ferrets have a average litter of 3-5 kits. Black f ooted ferrets
live in prairie dog dens those dens are getting dug up so they wind up dying beacause of habittat
loss and getting crushed by dozers.
