“2x” is the Global Challenge set by our President Gregg Maughan for the year of 2017! This such a powerful challenge and message for every single FBO right across Australia and in principle can truly have a lasting impact on your Forever Business. While you may look at this and think, “I already work hard enough...and now they want me to double it”, you have the wrong approach to this global challenge. Why don’t we break it down a little so you can see how “2x” can impact your business.

2x means by doubling your efforts you could double your income. 2x means by doubling your prospecting and you could double your team members. 2x means by doubling your customers you could double your profits. 2x means by doubling your cc’s you could double your bonus payments. 2x is a very simple message and of course makes 100% sense; however with your Forever Business it is sometimes the simplest of actions or activities that can be the most difficult to master and apply.

This year we have already seen so many FBO’s doubling their efforts and businesses in the most simplest of ways. Step 1 is to have an honest look at yourself and think “how much honest time have I invested into my business last week”. Step 2 is to have an honest look at yourself and think “how many people did I speak to about Forever’s opportunity or our products last week”. Step 3 is to have an honest look at yourself and think “how many current team members did I work with to help improve their business last week”. These are the main 3 aspects of our business, the actual time spent working it, the actual time spent sharing it and lastly the time spent teaching others to do the same.

Now that you have a baseline to look at, it’s time to think “If I was Natalie Heeley, or Rolf Kipp, or Desmond Kong, is this how I would of spent my time working my Forever business?” If the answer is yes then you’re off to fantastic success. If the answer is no, it’s time to analyse your activity sheet and see where your efforts can be improved. In the spirit of Gregg’s challenge, if you spent 3 hours working your business this week, aim to slowly increase that to 6. If you only spoke to 1 person about Forever this week, next week aim to speak with 2 and if you only attempted to contact 2 team members last week, next week aim to contact 4.

The overall message of 2x your business (Double your efforts, double your rewards) is such a simple message, however many FBO’s get scared of the work that may be involved. When you begin to think how these efforts will at least double, triple or increase your bonuses by many times their current value will all of your hard work then be justified?

No FBO has ever received a Chairman’s Bonus Cheque and said “If I had to do it again I would do less”...it’s in fact the exact opposite. Every FBO always says they would do more if they had the chance!

So for the coming month I urge each and every FBO to analyse your business and see where you can make improvements. See where you can increase your motivation, dedication & passion and aim to 2x your efforts & 2x your rewards!

We all get stuck over-analysing the things in front of us and often this can lead us to feel overwhelmed. How many times has this happened to you in your business? You have to schedule a training, reach out to a few neighbours for retail orders, get the kids to school, network with prospects, run errands, pay bills, host a product launch, make a doctor’s appointment and think about where you can squeeze a meal in. And that’s all before noon. It can be so hard to know where to put your energy for the best results.

In my experience, the answer lies in long-term focus and “keeping your eye on the prize”. There are so many things that you need to do in any given day that can sway your attention, but as long as you stay focused on your end goal, the day to day tasks won’t throw you off course.

Have you ever watched the flight tracker while you’re on a long flight to see where you are in your journey only to realise you’ve headed a direction that you didn’t expect?

Maybe the plane has gone north when you expected to fly due east. Statistically, airplanes are off direct course 70% of the time during a flight, but because they always know where they are going, they always arrive.

The same is true with your business. You might experience set backs, busy days or challenges you didn’t expect and feel discouraged. But as long as you keep your long-term goals in mind, you will never truly stray from your course and if you do, you will be able to recognise it immediately, redirect and get back to the things that are most important.

If you challenge yourself to focus on one major goal - one rabbit - at a time and then, once you’ve caught it, choose to focus on the next, you and your business will always be sustained.

Something happened at Costa Navarino in Greece that I haven’t had the opportunity to share with many of you yet and leading into Global Rally in Dubai – and as we come to the end of our qualification for Eagle Manager 2017 - seems like a good time.

One night, a few of us had dinner in Pylos, a small town about 20 minutes from Costa Navarino. We were heading back to the resort quite late and I expected to find it quiet and deserted as it must’ve been close to midnight. But that wasn’t the case. Throughout the lobby and open restaurants, FBO’s from all over the world were gathered sharing their experiences, best practices, knowledge and their cultures with one another.

In the lobby, I saw some Malaysian Eagles sharing with Eagles from Benelux and telling our Japanese leaders who were experiencing EMR for the first time, why they needed to be a part of it.

THIS is what Forever events are about. Our love for helping others and sharing this amazing opportunity is what makes these passionate people from all around the world come together. It’s what makes Forever special and has helped us achieve nearly 40 years in business.

Undoubtedly, you will have an opportunity to be part of moments like this in Dubai, where so many of our world leaders will come together. I challenge you to take a moment to really think about what you are bringing to the conversation. Are you bringing your best practices, positivity and knowledge to share with others? Are you coming into those conversations with an openness and willingness to learn? Be honest with yourselves.

As Global Rally qualifiers, you represent some of the highest achieving FBO’s in our business and I know that responsibility is big!

money every single day simply by retailing a product; don’t make the same mistake I did. When I first started I hid behind my laptop, but our job is not to sell things on Facebook. It’s about getting out there and actually speaking to people, and that’s when retailing will become something that’s really good fun.

This is a traditional but effective way of direct sales and it should not be forgotten. Product parties are an income-producing activity that you should try and commit to doing once a month at home. Doing so has got me where I am in my business and it helps me reach my CC target, but you can’t keep inviting the same people to the party. What I’ve started to do is partner with other local businesses; they bring their network and I bring mine. For example, I met a lady who makes her own soy-based candles so she and

01 / PRODUCT PARTIESher clients came along to my party and we both shared what we do. I avoid partnering with people who are from other MLM companies and I also avoid partnering with people who are selling similar products.

If you are new, I encourage you to have two product launches in your first month; one in the evening and one in the afternoon. You could have an afternoon tea on a Sunday and an evening get-together on a Friday, but always invite people to both so they can

What would you like your customers to experience and how would you like to be remembered? You can be extremely creative with grouping products together and how you present them to customers. My packs always include an Aloe Blossom Herbal Tea bag, a Ferrero Rocher and a magazine (Aloe Matters is perfect for this) because if I was having a pamper night at home with a face mask, I’d want a cup of tea, some chocolate and a good magazine! Always think about the experience that you are providing people.

You can present the products in different ways; some people like to use baskets, I personally like coloured zip bags as they are fantastic to have in your car. When you’re out and about and listening to people, you may hear someone mention something that makes you want to give them a product to try.

02 / EXPERIENCE PACKSThat’s where the experience packs come in handy – I would say, ‘I hope you don’t mind me eavesdropping, but I’ve got something in my car that would be absolutely fantastic for that’.

Experience packs are also great when people say no to the business

choose which one to go to. Give them a start and an end time so that they know they can leave at a set point and use cue cards to prompt you on what to say about the products, because if your guests do decide to join, they will want to see that the activity is easy to recreate. You can also give goody bags out with samples in, but only do this at the end, after product has been purchased. It doesn’t have to be an all-singing all-dancing event, just be proud of the products and passionate about the company.

Get yourself a product box – C9 / F15 / Vital5 / Touch of Forever / PUPP – and carry it around with you everywhere! Make that box your BFF. The box has to be full of product because the idea is that everywhere you go, people will ask you ‘what’s in the box?’ My youngest, Rosa, hates this idea – she’s desperate for me to pick her up from school without the box! I take it when I get my hair cut – I’m not joking – I take

Pop-ups are something I came across by accident. I used to be a yoga teacher so now I go to yoga as much as I can. I went to a local yoga class about a year and a half ago and as I came out of the class we were given a shot of coconut water. I then started wondering whether I could do the same with aloe.

This has now become something that’s huge in our team – it’s cheaper and quicker than a table top but you don’t just have to do it at sports and fitness classes. I’ve done it at parent/teacher

04 / POP-UPSmeetings and toddler groups, but you do of course need to make sure you ask permission from the owner first. You don’t actually have to sell anything, you just go with a tray of Forever Aloe Vera Gel / Argi+ / Forever Lite Ultra poured into disposable shot glasses and hand them out with business cards – I also offer out fruit in case they don’t like the taste. These pop-ups help to create brand awareness and I don’t mind being called the aloe lady!

Customer service: Bad customer service can really impact someone’s view of a brand. It’s therefore important to really consider customer care by thinking about how you can make a difference to someone’s day. Never take your customers for granted and make sure you are constant in their life as this builds trust.

Find your niche: You don’t have to be an aloe vera expert. Instead try choosing five or ten top products that you can speak about passionately and with confidence.

Calendar year: Think about the products and where they fit into the calendar year; look at what is coming up, e.g. Mother’s Day, Easter, etc.

Understand the RRP: The price of Forever products is as they are because they are extremely high quality. There are cheaper aloe products out there, but they are cheaper for a reason. Never undersell Forever products – you will only undercut yourself.

Your ‘Who Do You Know?’ list: Ensure your list includes local businesses where you know you can find people who would benefit from the products. For example, I know beauty salons will have people who would benefit from skincare. Write your local salon down and get yourself there!

The highest honour from a professional is a client referral. Word of mouth is everything and your customer care impacts this. Use this one simple line, ‘who else do you know who you think might benefit?’ Never say ‘Do you know…’ as they can say no, but ‘who

Always have your business cards on you but if you don’t, get their Facebook details and add them to your group. You never know where it may lead.

The 4Core focus this month is on the 4th factor, Development. Development is the training and support of your downline FBO’s (Forever Business Owners) with the objective to help them advance in the Marketing Plan and maintain a healthy balance of their 4Core indicators.

Developing strong leaders in your organisation is the way to ensure that you receive large leadership bonuses, or what may be called ‘residual income’. Residual income is defined as income above and beyond the time you are currently investing in your business. It is generated without your direct involvement.

To illustrate, the horizontal line above represents an unchanging number of hours per month you work at building your business, and the slanted line represents the growth of the various bonuses and profits you earn. The upper limit of this income is reached when you cannot spend any more time. However, as you build leaders to carry on where you leave off, your income is not limited by the amount of time you have to invest. This leadership income is truly unlimited.

Forever 4 CoreDEVELOPMENT

Training and support of your downline is accomplished by spending time demonstrating, instructing and motivating your Team Members to advance into leadership positions within the Marketing Plan.

This involves following these four steps:

1. Identify those in your group who are serious about the business

2. Plan a growth strategy and set goals with them 3. Provide effective training and hands-on

assistance to help them become leaders in their own right

4. Guide and encourage them to achieve their own success

You can judge how well you are doing in your group’s Development by answering the following questions:

• On average, how many one-on-one planning and goal setting sessions do you have with your Distributors each month?

• On average, how many training meetings do you conduct for your Team Members each month?

• How many Team Members in your group qualified for a level or incentive during the past six months?

Forever UK's Editor, Kate Hodge, caught up with Natalie at her beautiful country home to talk business, mindset, and why she’s Forever Proud…

KH: WHAT DID LIFE LOOK LIKE WHEN YOU FIRST STARTED FOREVER?

NH: I’ve been in Forever about ten years now but my background is in marketing. I was made redundant twice and the second time I was pregnant with my son, Will. I therefore became a mum at home, which was great because it was what I always wanted anyway, and Rosie came along pretty quickly after, but money was a struggle. For ten years prior to this, my mum Jan Whittaker had been asking me to look at Forever, but I’d never been interested before. However, things changed when I had both children and I found myself wanting something that was going to be flexible, something that was going to be challenging, and something that was going to give me loads of support because I didn’t have much confidence or belief in myself at the time. Will was two and Rosie was five months old when I started my Forever business.

KH: WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOURSELF IF YOU COULD GO BACK TO THOSE EARLY DAYS?

NH: If I were to start the business again, I would tell myself to never compare myself to other people. It’s so easy to do, but we need to remember that we are all on our own journey and we all come into it with different challenges, different goals and different skills. Every Forever Business Owner needs to realise that they are individuals who are able to make it happen. In fact, the only way you can fail is by quitting, so you need to make sure you are getting up each day with that positive mindset, getting out of your comfort zone, and working on challenges to ensure you overcome them. Self-belief also plays a crucial role. It took me two years to get to Manager because I didn’t believe that I could do it, and it took me a long time to learn that you have to work on your mindset daily.

KH: HOW DOES IT FEEL TO SECURE THE TOP SPOT AGAIN?

NH: It’s pretty amazing to be recognised as the number one FBO in the UK for the third year running, but it’s not just down to me – my team is just incredible and I want to say a big thank you to them all. This achievement is also a testament to hard work. When I started my Forever business I worked literally every moment I could around the children, and it just shows that if you put that hard work in, it will pay off in the long term.

KH: WHAT WOULD YOU SAY TO FBOS WHO ASPIRE TO BE LEADERS IN THE FIELD?

NH: Firstly, it’s important that you do your research and make sure you are clear on what tools, events and trainings are available to you. You should then access these tools and trainings yourself before sharing them with your team. I think the company trainings and events that I’ve benefited from the most are the Success Days. They are so important as they keep you motivated, they help to build team spirit, and the trainings are absolutely incredible. The regular Business Presentations and Trainings are also essential as they will help to build your confidence when it comes to sharing the opportiunity and they will also help you to coach your team. Using the tools on foreverliving.com.au and FLP360 have also been beneficial to my business because everything is at your fingertips and you can access it from home in those little spaces throughout your day.

As well as promoting the company trainings and events, being a leader requires teaching others the basics of the business. It’s teaching people how to retail the products, how to do a great product launch, how to make a phone call, how to do a one-to-one and how to run a Business Presentation, whether that’s a home BP or over a coffee. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel as it’s worked for forty years; you just have to be persistent and teach others. For me, a massive part has been teaching others about mindset. I believe that 80% of our success is down to what we are telling ourselves so I constantly remind my team to work on their mindset daily.

KH: HAVE YOU ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR THOSE WHO FEEL THEIR BUSINESS HAS SLOWED?

NH: Remember not to compare yourself to other people – running a business is not a race and it is perfectly normal to go through stages where business remains at a steady pace. However, if you are keen to see growth, it may be worth looking back in your diary to remind yourself what activity you’ve been doing. Look at the past three months, how many one-to-ones have you had? How many guests have you taken to the Business Presentation?

Ideally these are face-to-face activities but they could be online, and although you will probably find that you’ve done a bit, it’s likely you have room to do a lot more. Just try increasing your activity and you’ll soon see the results you crave. What I do, and what I tell my team to do, is to try and do a minimum of three to five one-to-ones per week, and attend a Business Presentation, with a guest, on a weekly basis.

By doing this amount of activity, you are likely to recruit one to three people each month. If you aren’t going to the BP, a big part of the jigsaw is missing – the BP will give you the motivation and encouragement you need to confidently talk about the business; make sure it plays a key role in the diary, but most importantly, don’t give up and know that you can do it.

KH: WHAT HAS THIS PAST YEAR (2016) LOOKED LIKE FOR YOU?

NH: This past year has been pretty magical: I turned forty when we were out in South Africa at Global Rally and this was followed by the most amazing family holiday. My kids, my mum, my brother and sister, we all went on safari and we really just spent loads of time together making memories. I had a big party with my team out in Johannesburg, and I also picked up a million dollar cheque which made it a pretty spectacular birthday. When we came home we had a few more parties, so it’s literally been a year of celebration and having fun. Amongst all this I also met my partner, we’ve renovated our beautiful farm house which has always been a dream come true, and then to finish the year off I found out that we are expecting a baby!

KH: WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR 2017?

NH: This year my focus is being a mummy again. Rosie is now eleven, Will is twelve, but this time it’s going to be so, so different. All those years ago I didn’t have much money or time, I was a single parent and there were lots of challenges that we had to face; this little girl is going to grow up in an entirely different environment. Our house is nearly finished so we are going to be living in our dream home and we can’t wait to introduce our baby girl into the family. It’s going to be pretty scary going back to babies but we are all so excited.

I’m also looking forward to working with my team, watching them achieve Chairman’s Bonus and Eagle Manager, and obviously I am going to have the opportunity to meet lots of new mums

which means conversations that could lead to them changing their future. All in all, 2017 is going to be a great year.

KH: WHY ARE YOU FOREVER PROUD?

NH: Forever has provided me with financial freedom and for me that means choices; choices to do whatever we want, when we want, without having to think about whether we can afford it. That’s been pretty life-changing for us. I’m also able to work closely with my mum and sister, and together we’ve been able to change our family’s lives. It’s humbling to know that by simply sharing the opportunity, we’ve changed hundreds of lives around the world as well. I love meeting so many different types of people and to work in such a positive and motivating environment is rare these days. That’s why I’m Forever Proud.
