Encore Wire Pulling HeadsCrimping Instructions for Encore Pulling HarnessesThe Encore pulling sleeves can be easily crimped on to Encore copper wire with an 11 ton hydraulic press.

Strip the wire jacket at least four (4) inches back.

Make sure sleeve is fully seated onto the copper wire.

Initially, the steel pulling cable will fit loosely in the sleeve.

When fully seated, the pulling cable will be pressed against the top of the sleeve. The sleeve may require twisting and/or tapping with a hard plastic mallet to seat.

Crimp the sleeve onto the copper wire.

6 AWG to 400 KCMIL should be crimped twice.

500 to 1000 KCMIL should be crimped four times; crimp twice at each location, on opposite sides of sleeve.
