Not to be Truffled With 4/5 Truffles 26 F O O D by: Truffled With New York Deli II I would be very depressed if we didn’t have NYD. It is my go-to lunch spot, and go-to “take every friend” spot. It’s reliable and what could get better than an atmosphere full of Beatles memorabilia? Everything I’ve ever had there was spot on. They have daily specials on the chalkboard as you walk in and different soups everyday. It truly is one of my favorite places in the Rio Grande Valley. The staff is so friendly, and they already know as soon as we walk in that we want our potato salad in the freezer. It just tastes so good, so cold. They have a very unique potato salad, unlike most others. It’s a must here. You never fail trying the classic Reuben, piled high with corned beef and sauerkraut. They offer bison, which is a breath of fresh air in this area. Bison dog, or burger you get all the flavor of red meat without all the extra fat. Just thinking about NYD puts a smile to my face, I imagine all their juicy sandwiches just oozing all over your hands and plate. All the while enjoying the continuous loop of every Beatles album ever recorded. It’s the only place of it’s kind around here. With such an extensive menu, you can satisfy any palate. Salads, soups, croissant sandwiches, hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, even homemade cakes and cupcakes that are made fresh daily. Whatever I order, I drench it in their Russian dressing. I don’t know how they make that Russian dressing but it must have addictive properties. I make sure I don’t leave without taking a cup to go...for later. It’s that good. N. “A” St. Harlingen, Texas .. Hours: 11AM to 4PM Monday Through Wednesday 11AM to 8PM Thursday & Friday 11AM to 3PM on Saturday Closed on Sundays E. Price Rd.
