Happy New Year! Enablis is ready to bravely embark on new adventures, opportunities and challenges that 2016 has to offer, and we warmly wish you the same. 2015 was a vibrant year when we raised over $265,000 at our fundraising galas, launched a new Enablis Chapter in Senegal and matched new and enthusiastic Canadian mentors with gifted entrepreneurs in Africa and Argentina. Thank you for being part of our journey and for supporting us in our endeavors. We would not be able to do it without you. At the fundraising galas in Montreal and Toronto, we had the pleasure of hosting 2 of our members - Marcelo Klein from Buenos Aires and Abednego Darko from Accra, who shared the inspiring stories of turning their entrepreneurial dreams into reality, thanks to the help of their Canadian mentors. My greatest wish for 2016 is to come back to you next year with more good news and inspiring success stories of Enablis member entrepreneurs. Once again, thank you to all our supporters. I am extending the recognition to our corporate sponsors, whose invaluable help means we can continue our mission of poverty alleviation in developing countries. Enablis is celebrating its 12th anniversary and we are very proud of the successes and lessons learned throughout our journey in Africa and Latin America. Our network of entrepreneurs extends in 6 countries in Africa - Ghana, Senegal, Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, Rwanda - and in Argentina. With the recent launch of Enablis in Senegal, we have for the first time, expanded into francophone West Africa. Enablis Senegal has already recruited 40 members and counting. We have also spent the past 12 months reviewing our model in the context of today’s entrepreneurial realities. Focusing on entrepreneurs that have a high potential for job creation, we are helping local economies grow. It is by boosting local employment that Enablis fulfills its global mission. In 2016, we aim to increase our impact by focusing on our key goals: women empowerment, organizational sustainability and the International Mentoring Program, one of our most effective programs.
