OUR AMBITION AND MISSION

Mike Norris

Chief Executive Officer Computacenter plc.

“This essentially means that within major European organisations we want to be the go-to company where CIOs can bring the best experience to their users.

This experience doesn’t just involve fantastic user support but also includes the best devices and functionality, the fastest possible networks (whetherWi-Fi or physically connected), and it will involve high performance datacenter systems held on or off customers’ premises as well as obviously in the cloud.

To bring the best user experience you have to be the best company at delivering secure and reliable corporate IT infrastructure as well.”

ENABLING USERS

Computacenter is the only IT provider with a clear focus on end-user computing (EUC). That´s how we differentiate against most of the competition, who wants to do the full-outsource,be the service-integrator, take over business processes or just utilize their (legacy) datacenter services.

We prefer to talk about “users” (not “end-users”) because users can be employees, partners and also customers of our customers (e.g. “systems of engagement”).

We are looking at IT (i.e. technology and services) from the point of view of the user, thus taking an

“end-user-in” perspective vs. “datacenter-out”. We optimize and leverage the complete IT stack to improve user productivity and experience, including workplace, datacenter, network and security infrastructures.

ENABLE USERS AND THEIR BUSINESS

We strive to be the champion of the user. We are well positioned to do this through our extensive experience in EUC. Also, users are increasingly emancipating themselves (“consumerisation”).

We promote that users have to be seen in their business context (e.g. Marketing, Sales, R&D, HR, etc.) and differentiate our services according to working styles and usage profiles.

MAXIMISE USER PRODUCTIVY AND THE BUSINESS VALUE OF IT

The enabling of users leads to both, improved user experience and productivity through reduced downtime, less re-work, flexible working times and overall increased motivation.

The business value of IT will be increased if IT directly improves business critical processes (e.g. mobilized CRM, accelerated BI/BA, secured IP, inter-company UCC, tablet-based Sales, etc.)
