Maintenance

What is On-Screen Display (OSD)?

3.1 SmartImage

What is it?

SmartImageprovidespresetsthatoptimizedisplayfordifferenttypesofcontent,dynamicallyadjustingbrightness,contrast,colorandsharpnessinrealtime.Whetheryou'reworkingwithtextapplications,displayingimagesorwatchingavideo,PhilipsSmartImagedeliversgreatoptimizedmonitorperformance.

Why do I need it?

Youwantamonitorthatdeliversoptimizeddisplayallyourfavoritetypesofcontent,SmartImagesoftwaredynamicallyadjustbrightness,contrast,colorandsharpnessinrealtimetoenhanceyourmonitorviewingexperience.

How does it work?

SmartImageisanexclusive,leadingedgePhilipstechnologythatanalyzesthecontentdisplayedonyourscreen.Basedonascenarioyouselect,SmartImagedynamicallyenhancesthecontrast,colorsaturationandsharpnessofimagestoenhancethecontentsbeingdisplayed-allinrealtimewiththepressofasinglebutton.

How to enable SmartImage?

1. Press tolaunchtheSmartImageonscreendisplay.

2. Keeppressing totoggleamongOffice,Photo,Movie,Game,Economy,orOff.

3. TheSmartImageonscreendisplaywillremainonscreenfor5seconds,oryoucanalsopress"OK"tomakeconfirmation.

4. WhenSmartImageisenabled,thesRGBschemeisdisabledautomatically.TousesRGB,youneedtodisableSmartImagewiththe buttonatthefrontbezelofyourmonitor.

Exceptusing keytoscrolldown,youcanalsopress buttonstochooseandpress“OK”toconfirmselectionandclosetheSmartImageOSD.

Why do I need it?

Youwanttheverybestvisualclarityandviewingcomfortforeverytypeofcontent.SmartContrastdynamicallycontrolscontrastandadjustsbacklightingforclear,crisp,brightgamingandvideoimagesordisplaysclear,readabletextforofficework.Byreducingyourmonitor'spowerconsumption,yousaveonenergycostsandextendthelifetimeofyourmonitor.

How does it work?

ThenewSmartControlPremiumsoftwarebyPhillipsallowsyoutocontrolyourmonitorviaaneasytouseon-screengraphicinterface.Complicatedadjustmentsareathingofthepastasthisuserfriendlysoftwareguidesyouthroughfine-tuningresolution,Colorcalibration,Clock/Phaseadjustments,RGBWhitepointadjustment,etc.

Equippedwithlatesttechnologyincorealgorithmforfastprocessingandresponse,thisWindows7complianteyecatchinganimatedIconbasedsoftwareisreadytoenhanceyourexperiencewithPhilipsmonitors!

Installation

• Followtheinstructionandcompletetheinstallation.

• Youcanlaunchafterinstallationiscompleted.

• Ifyouwanttolaunchlater,youcaneitherclicktheshortcutondesktoportoolbar.
