All characteristics of the proven and continuously improved Erkoform-3d (3d+) are available plus an unmatched operating comfort by the automated thermoforming process.

An example, you would like to fabricate a splint without adjustment of the opposing bite: Select foil at the touchpanel ››› insert foil››› turn foil under the heating ››› place model ... everything else, heating, thermoforming and cooling will be carried out by the unit. You decide when you will go back to the unit. No overheating, no forgetting, no missing of the thermoforming signal, always good results!

If the Occluform-3 is used to adjust the opposing bite the unit provides an optic and acoustic signal at the right moment to perform the adjustment.

motion 3The Erkoform-3d+ is a noticeable further development of the Erkoform-3d. It is technically an Erkoform-3dmotion without automatic.

Both units are characterized by a sudden adaptation. This is possible because of a provided large volume reserve vacuum.

Both units use a sensor for a touchless temperature measurement of the thermo- forming material. This guarantees the exact material temperature for the thermoforming process independent of the surroundings.

Both units are equipped with a medium-wave infrared heating without preheating time.

By the medium-wave heating the materials are not only heated at the surface but also in the deepness. Splints that fit with less tension are the result.

The Erkopress 300 Tp unit will be connected to the available compressed-air system. The Erkopress 300 Tp-ci unit owns an integrated powerful compressor with reserve compressed-air. With it the unit is independent of a compressed-air system that would possibly have to be installed (pat. 19518211).

The working pressure of the Erkopress 300 Tp unit can be set from 3 - 6 bar.

The Erkopress 300 Tp-ci builds up a pressure of 7 bar in a reserve pressure chamber after turning the unit on and holds this pressure independently of the program sequence. For the adaptation 6 bar will then be available.

Both units are equipped with the touchpanel and the program of the Erkoform units. Except of the function in combination with the Occluform-3 all features of the program are available (features see page 3 at Erkoform-3d+).

The program contains all Erkodent thermoforming materials, leads as short guide with animations through the sequence of work and indicates the required working steps.

motion 4Both units are characterized by a sudden adaptation. For equal wall thicknesses the hot thermoforming material will be vertically driven onto the model. At the same time the cylinder will be extended and the adaptation effected without delay.

Both units use a sensor for a touchless temperature measurement of the thermo- forming material and are equipped with the medium-wave infrared heating without preheating time described at page 4.

With the accessory Tp-polymerisation pot 171 888 (pictures to the right) both units can also be used as pressure pot for autopoly-merizing materials.

Occluform-3

With the Occluform-3 the opposing bite can be imprinted during the thermoforming process in the thermoforming material which is at that moment optimally formable.

The construction of the Occluform-3 device is based on a Bonwill triangle with a side length of 11.5 cm and a Balkwill angle of 20°.

Occluform-3 is a unique occludator for the Erkoform units of the serie 3

Since the dimensions of the Occluform-3 correspond to those of a modern semi-adjustable articulator the device allows a bite elevation according to average values. If a construction bite taken in the mouth or in a fully adjustable arti-culator is available this will be used to articulate the models in the Occluform-3. One marking line at the supporting pin corresponds to approx. 1 mm bite elevation at the incisal point.

The installation of the Occluform-3 is most simple, it will be delivered with detailed operating instructions. It is a sturdy metal construction with hydraulic fixation of the opposing bite.

motion 5If the upper jaw model is fixed in the model pot the upper joint of the joint column is blocked using the swing bolt. If the lower jaw model is fixed in the model pot the lower joint is blocked. This way the imprint of the opposing bite corresponds to the proportions of an arti-culator.

To articulate the models the arresting joint has to be freely movable. Thereby the supporting pin has to be adjusted to the thicker 0-marking line. If necessary, lift the bite at the supporting pin and open the Occluform-3. Thermoform the foil and close the Occluform-3 directly after the adaptation until the supporting pin has contact. The (pre-) adjustment is now done by optimal material protection.
