1.1 Children and vulnerable people safety• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8

years and above and persons with reduced physical,sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experienceand knowledge if they have been given supervision orinstruction concerning the use of the appliance in asafe way and understand the hazards involved.

• Do not let children play with the appliance.• Keep detergents away from children.• Keep children and pets away from the appliance when

the door is open.• Children shall not carry out cleaning and user

maintenance of the appliance without supervision.

1.2 General Safety• This appliance is intended to be used in household

and similar applications such as:– farm houses; staff kitchen areas in shops, offices

and other working environments;– by clients in hotels, motels, bed & breakfast and

other residential type environments.• Do not change the specification of this appliance.• The operating water pressure (minimum and

maximum) must be between 0.5 (50) / 8 (800) bar(kPa)

• Obey the maximum number of 14 place settings.• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by

the manufacturer, its Authorised Service Centre or asimilarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• Put knives and cutlery with sharp points in the cutlerybasket with the points down or in a horizontal position.

• Do not keep the appliance door open withoutsupervision to prevent to fall on it.

• Before any maintenance operation, deactivate theappliance and disconnect the mains plug from thesocket.

• Do not use high pressure water sprays and/or steamto clean the appliance.

• The appliance is to be connected to the water mainsusing the new supplied hose-sets. Old hose sets mustnot be reused.

• The ventilation openings in the base (if applicable)must not be obstructed by a carpet.

• Some dishwasher detergents are strongly alkaline.They can be extremely dangerous if swallowed. Avoidcontact with the skin and eyes and keep children awayfrom the dishwasher when the door is open.

• Check that the detergent receptacle is empty aftercompletion of the wash cycle.

2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS2.1 Installation

WARNING!Only a qualified person mustinstall this appliance.

• Remove all the packaging.• Do not install or use a damaged

appliance.• Do not install or use the appliance

where the temperature is less than 0°C.

• Follow the installation instructionsupplied with the appliance.

• Always take care when moving theappliance as it is heavy. Always usesafety gloves and enclosed footwear.

• Make sure that the appliance isinstalled below and adjacent to safestructures.

2.2 Electrical connectionWARNING!Risk of fire and electricalshock.

• The appliance must be earthed.• Make sure that the parameters on the

rating plate are compatible with theelectrical ratings of the mains powersupply.

• Always use a correctly installedshockproof socket.

• Do not use multi-plug adapters andextension cables.

• Make sure not to cause damage tothe mains plug and to the mainscable. Should the mains cable need tobe replaced, this must be carried outby our Authorised Service Centre.

• Connect the mains plug to the mainssocket only at the end of theinstallation. Make sure that there isaccess to the mains plug after theinstallation.

• Do not pull the mains cable todisconnect the appliance. Always pullthe mains plug.

2.3 Water connection• Do not cause damage to the water

hoses.• Before connection to new pipes, pipes

not used for a long time, where repairwork has been carried out or newdevices fitted (water meters, etc.), letthe water flow until it is clean andclear.

• Ensure that there are no visible waterleaks during and after the first use ofthe appliance.

• The water inlet hose has a safetyvalve and a sheath with an innermains cable.

WARNING!Dangerous voltage.

• If the water inlet hose is damaged,immediately close the water tap and

disconnect the mains plug from themains socket. Contact the AuthorisedService Centre to replace the waterinlet hose.

2.4 Use• Do not sit or stand on the open door.• Dishwasher detergents are

dangerous. Obey the safetyinstructions on the detergentpackaging.

• Do not drink and play with the water inthe appliance.

• Do not remove the dishes from theappliance until the programme iscomplete. Some detergent mayremain on the dishes.

• The appliance can release hot steamif you open the door while aprogramme operates.

• Do not put flammable products oritems that are wet with flammableproducts in, near or on the appliance.

2.5 DisposalWARNING!Risk of injury or suffocation.

• Disconnect the appliance from themains supply.

• Cut off the mains cable and discard it.• Remove the door catch to prevent

children and pets to get closed in theappliance.

3.1 Beam-on-FloorThe Beam-on-Floor is a light that isdisplayed on the floor below theappliance door.• When the programme starts, a red

light comes on and stays on for theduration of the programme.

• When the programme is completed, agreen light comes on.

• When the appliance has amalfunction, the red light flashes.

The Beam-on-Floor is offwhen the appliance isdeactivated.

When AirDry is activatedduring the drying phase, theprojection on the floor maynot be completely visible. Tosee if the cycle has ended,check the control panel.

1) With this programme, you have the most efficient use of water and energy consumptionfor crockery and cutlery with normal soil. This is the standard programme for test institutes.2) The appliance senses the degree of soil and the quantity of items in the baskets . It auto‐matically adjusts the temperature and the quantity of water, the energy consumption and theprogramme duration.3) With this programme, you can wash a load with mixed soil. Very heavy soil in the lowerbasket, and normal soil in the upper basket. The pressure and the temperature of the waterin the lower basket are higher than in the upper basket.4) With this programme, you can wash a half-load dishwasher with fresh soil. It gives goodwashing results in a short time.5) With this programme, you can quickly rinse dishes to prevent remains of food to bond ondishes and odours to form in the appliance. Do not use detergent with this programme.

6. SETTINGS6.1 Programme selection modeand user modeWhen the appliance is in programmeselection mode it is possible to set aprogramme and to enter the user mode.Settings available in the user mode:• The activation or deactivation of the

rinse aid empty notification.• The level of rinse aid according to the

required dosage.• Activation or deactivation of the

acoustic signal for the end of aprogramme.

• The activation or the deactivation ofthe option AirDry.

As the appliance stores the savedsettings, there is no need to configureit before every cycle.

How to set the programmeselection modeThe appliance is in programme selectionmode when the display shows theprogramme number P1.After activation, the appliance is inprogramme selection mode by default. Ifnot, set the programme selection modethe following way:

Press and hold simultaneously and until the appliance is in programme

selection mode.

How to enter user modeMake sure the appliance is inprogramme selection mode.To enter user mode, press and holdsimultaneously and until theindicators , , and flash andthe display is blank.

6.2 The rinse aid emptynotificationThe rinse aid helps to dry the disheswithout streaks and stains.

The rinse aid is automatically releasedduring the hot rinse phase.When rinse aid chamber is empty, therinse aid indicator is turned on notifyingto refill rinse aid. If the drying results aresatisfactory while using multi-tablets only,it is possible to deactivate the notificationfor refilling rinse aid. However, for bestdrying performance, always use rinseaid.If standard detergent or multi-tabletswithout rinse aid are used, activate thenotification to keep the rinse aid refillindicator active.

How to deactivate the rinse aidempty notificationMake sure the appliance is in user mode.

1. Press .• The indicators , and go

off.• The indicator still flashes.• The display shows the current

setting: = the rinse aid emptynotification is activated (factorysetting).

2. Press to change the setting. = the rinse aid empty notification is

deactivated.3. Press the on/off button to confirm the

setting.

6.3 The rinse aid dispenserThe rinse aid helps to dry the disheswithout streaks and stains.The rinse aid is automatically releasedduring the hot rinse phase.It is possible to set the released quantityof rinse aid between level 1 (minimumquantity) and level 6 (maximum quantity).Level 0 deactivates the rinse aiddispenser and no rinse aid is released.Factory setting: level 4.

How to set the rinse aid levelMake sure the appliance is in user mode.

1. Press .• The indicators , and go

off.• The indicator still flashes.• The display shows the current

setting: e.g. = level 4.– The levels of rinse aid are

from 0A to 6Awhere level 0A means rinseaid is not used.

2. Press repeatedly to change thesetting.

3. Press the on/off button to confirm thesetting.

6.4 Acoustic signalsAcoustic signals sound when amalfunction of the appliance occurs. It isnot possible to deactivate these acousticsignals.There is also an acoustic signal thatsounds when the programme iscompleted. By default this acoustic signalis deactivated but it is possible toactivate it.

How to activate the acousticsignal for the end ofprogrammeMake sure the appliance is in user mode.

1. Press .• The indicators , and go

off.• The indicator still flashes.• The display shows the current

setting: = Acoustic signal off.2. Press to change the setting.

= Acoustic signal on.3. Press the on/off button to confirm the

setting.

6.5 AirDryAirDry improves the drying results withless energy consumption.

While the drying phaseoperates, a device opens theappliance door. The door isthen kept ajar.

CAUTION!Do not try to close theappliance door within 2minutes after automaticopen. This can causedamage to the appliance.

CAUTION!In case of presence ofchildren, the AirDry systemcan be deactivated if youwant to keep the door closedin the end of the cycle.

AirDry is automatically activated with allprogrammes excluding Rinse & HoldTo improve the drying performance referto the XtraDry option or activate AirDry.

How to deactivate AirDryMake sure the appliance is in user mode.

1. Press .• The indicators , and are

off.• The indicator still flashes.• The display shows the current

setting: = AirDry activated.

2. Press to change the setting: = AirDry deactivated.

3. Press on/off to confirm the setting.

6.6 MyFavouriteThis option allows to set and save themost frequently used programme.It is possible to save only 1 programme.A new setting cancels the previous one.

How to save the MyFavouriteprogramme1. Set the chosen programme.It is also possible to set applicableoptions together with the programme.

2. Press and hold until the relatedindicator is on.

How to set the MyFavouriteprogrammePress .

• The MyFavourite indicator is on.• The display shows the number

and the duration of theprogramme.

• If options are saved together withthe programme, the indicatorsrelated to the options are on.

7. OPTIONSDesired options must beactivated every time beforeyou start a programme.It is not possible to activateor deactivate options while aprogramme is running.

Not all options arecompatible with each other.If you select non compatibleoptions, the applianceautomatically deactivatesone or more of them. Onlythe indicators of the stillactive options are on.

7.1 XtraDryActivate this option when you want toboost the drying performance. With useof this option, the duration of someprogrammes, water consumption and thelast rinse temperature can be affected.The XtraDry option is a permanent optionfor all programmes other than ECO andneed not to be selected at every cycle.Every time ECO is activated, XtraDryoption is off and needs to be chosenmanually. In other programmes, thesetting of XtraDry is permanent and it isautomatically used in next cycles. Thisconfiguration can be changed at anytime.

Activating XtraDry option deactivatesTimeSaver.

How to activate XtraDryPress . The related indicator comeson.If the option is not applicable to theprogramme, the related indicator doesnot appear or it flashes quickly for a fewseconds and then goes off.The display shows the updatedprogramme duration.

7.2 TimeSaverThe TimeSaver allows to reduce theduration of a selected programme byapproximately 50%.The washing results are the same aswith the normal programme duration. Thedrying results can decrease.This option increases the pressure andthe temperature of the water. Thewashing and the drying phases areshorter.By default, TimeSaver is off, but it ispossible to activate it manually. Thisoption cannot be combined with XtraDry.

How to activate TimeSaverPress , the related indicator comeson.If the option is not applicable to theprogramme, the related indicator doesnot come on or it flashes quickly for a fewseconds and then goes off.The display shows the updatedprogramme duration.

7.3 ExtraHygieneThis option provides better hygieneresults by keeping the temperature at 70

°C for at least 10 minutes during the lastrinsing phase.

How to activate ExtraHygienePress , the related indicator comes onIf the option is not applicable to theprogramme, the related indicator doesnot come on or it flashes quickly for a fewseconds and then goes out.The display shows the updatedprogramme duration.

8. BEFORE FIRST USE1. Fill the rinse aid dispenser.2. Open the water tap.3. Start a program to remove any

processing residuals that can still beinside the appliance. Do not usedetergent and do not load thebaskets.

8.1 How to fill the rinse aiddispenser

CAUTION!Only use rinse aidspecifically designed fordishwashers.

1. Open the lid (C).2. Fill the dispenser (B) until the rinse

aid reaches the marking ''MAX''.3. Remove the spilled rinse aid with an

absorbent cloth to prevent too muchfoam.

4. Close the lid. Make sure that the lidlocks into position.

Fill the rinse aid dispenserwhen the indicator (A)becomes clear.

If you use multi-tablets andthe drying performance issatisfactory, the rinse aidrefill indication can bedisabled.We recommend to alwaysuse rinse aid for betterdrying performance, also incombination with multi-tablets containing rinsingagent.

9. DAILY USE1. Open the water tap. 2. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance.

Make sure that the appliance is inprogramme selection mode.

• If the rinse aid empty message isshown fill the rinse aid dispenser.

3. Load the baskets.4. Add the detergent.5. Set and start the correct programme

for the type of load and the degree ofsoil.

9.1 Comfort LiftCAUTION!Do not sit on the rack. Donot put excessive pressureon the locked basket.

CAUTION!Do not exceed the max loadcapacity of 18 kg.

CAUTION!Use only a detergentspecifically designed fordishwashers.

To ensure correct unlocking,lift the release handlecompletely and the basketslightly until the basket isdisengaged on both sides.

The Comfort Lift mechanism allows to liftthe lower rack up (to the second racklevel) and put it down to load and unloaddishes easily.To move the lower basket from the lowerposition:1. To lift the basket pull the rack out of

the dishwasher by the rack handle.The release handle should not beused.

The basket is automatically locked on theupper level. Load or unload the basketcarefully (refer to basket loading leaflet).2. To lower the basket connect the

release handle with the basket frameas shown below. Lift the releasehandle and the rack up.

Once the release handle is lifted,push the rack down. The mechanismreturns to its basic position on thelower level.There are two ways of lowering thebasket depending on the loading:• If there is a full load of plates

slightly push the basket down.• If the basket is empty or half-

loaded press the basket down.

9.2 Using the detergent

CAUTION!Only use detergentspecifically designed fordishwashers.

1. Press the release button (A) to openthe lid (C).

2. Put the detergent, in powder ortablets, in the compartment (B).

3. If the programme has a prewashphase, put a small quantity ofdetergent on the inner part of theappliance door.

4. Close the lid. Make sure that the lidlocks into position.

9.3 Setting and starting aprogramme

The Auto Off functionThis function decreases energyconsumption by deactivatingautomatically the appliance when it is notoperating.The function comes into operation:• 5 minutes after the completion of the

programme.• After 5 minutes if the programme has

not started.

Starting a programme1. Keep the appliance door ajar.2. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance. Make sure that theappliance is in programme selectionmode.

3. Press repeatedly until the displayshows the number of the programmeyou want to start. The display willshow the programme number forapproximately 3 seconds and thenshow the programme duration.• If you want to select the

MyFavourite programme, press.

• The indicators of the optionsrelated to the MyFavouriteprogramme come on.

4. Set the applicable options.5. Close the appliance door to start the

programme.

Starting a programme withdelay start1. Set a programme.

2. Press again and again until thedisplay shows the delay time youwant to set (from 1 to 24 hours).

The delay indicator comes on.3. Close the appliance door to start the

countdown.While a countdown is running it ispossible to increase the delay time butnot to change the selection of theprogramme and options.When the countdown is completed, theprogramme starts.

Opening the door while theappliance operatesIf you open the door while a programmeis running, the appliance stops. It mayaffect the energy consumption and theprogramme duration. When you closethe door, the appliance continues fromthe point of interruption.

If the door is opened formore than 30 secondsduring the drying phase, therunning programme will end.This will not happen if thedoor is opened by AirDry.

CAUTION!Do not try to close theappliance door within 2minutes after AirDryautomatically opens it, asthis may cause damage tothe appliance. If, afterwards,the door is closed foranother 3 minutes, therunning programme ends.

Cancelling the delay start whilethe countdown operatesWhen you cancel the delay start youhave to set the programme and optionsagain.

Press and hold simultaneously and until the appliance is in programme

selection mode.

End of programmeWhen the programme is completed andyou open the door, the appliance isautomatically deactivated.Close the water tap.

10. HINTS AND TIPS10.1 GeneralThe following hints will ensure optimalcleaning and drying results in daily useand also help to protect the environment.• Remove larger residues of food from

the dishes into the waste bin.• Do not pre-rinse dishes by hand.

When needed, use the prewashprogramme (if available) or select aprogramme with a prewash phase.

• Always use the whole space of thebaskets.

• When loading the appliance, makesure that the dishes can becompletely reached and washed bythe water released from the spray armnozzles. Make sure that items do nottouch or cover each other.

• You can use dishwasher detergentand rinse aid separately or you canuse the multi-tablets. Follow theinstructions written on the packaging.

• Select the programme according tothe type of load and degree of soil.With the ECO programme you havethe most efficient use of water andenergy consumption for crockery andcutlery with normal soil.

10.2 Using rinse aid anddetergent• Only use rinse aid and detergent for

dishwasher. Other products cancause damage to the appliance.

• Detergent tablets do not fully dissolvewith short programs. To preventdetergent residues on the tableware,we recommend that you use thetablets with long programs.

• Do not use more than the correctquantity of detergent. Refer to the

instructions on the detergentpackaging.

10.3 Loading the baskets• Only use the appliance to wash items

that are dishwasher-safe.• Do not put in the appliance items

made of wood, horn, aluminium,pewter and copper.

• Do not put in the appliance items thatcan absorb water (sponges,household cloths).

• Remove remaining food from theitems.

• Make soft the remaining burned foodon the items.

• Put hollow items (cups, glasses andpans) with the opening down.

• Make sure that cutlery and dishes donot bond together. Mix spoons withother cutlery.

• Make sure that glasses do not touchother glasses.

• Put small items in the cutlery basket.• Put light items in the upper basket.

Make sure that the items do notmove.

• Make sure that the spray arm canmove freely before you start aprogramme.

10.4 Before starting aprogrammeMake sure that:• The filters are clean and correctly

installed.• The spray arms are not clogged.• There is dishwasher rinse aid (unless

you use multi- tablets).• The position of the items in the

baskets is correct.

• The programme is applicable for thetype of load and for the degree of soil.

• The correct quantity of detergent isused.

10.5 Unloading the baskets1. For improved drying results with the

most efficient use of energy selectthe AirDry option, otherwise open thedoor by approximately 10cm at theend of the program.

2. Allow the tableware to cool for 30 -40 minutes.

3. Hot items can be easily damaged,allow them to cool down beforeremoving from appliance.

4. First remove items from the lowerbasket then the upper basket.

At the end of the programwater can still remain on thesides and on the door of theappliance.

11. CARE AND CLEANINGWARNING!Before maintenance,deactivate the appliance anddisconnect the mains plugfrom the main socket.

Dirty filters and cloggedspray arms decrease thewashing results. Make acheck regularly and, ifnecessary, clean them.

11.1 Cleaning the filtersThe filter system is made of 3 parts.

1. Turn the filter (B) counterclockwiseand remove it.

2. Remove the filter (C) out of filter (B). 3. Remove the flat filter (A).

4. Wash the filters.

5. Make sure that there are no residuesof food or soil in or around the edgeof the sump.

6. Put back in place the flat filter (A).Make sure that it is correctlypositioned under the 2 guides.

7. Reassemble the filters (B) and (C).8. Put back the filter (B) in the flat filter

(A). Turn it clockwise until it locks.

CAUTION!An incorrect position of thefilters can cause badwashing results and damageto the appliance.

11.2 Cleaning the upper sprayarmWe recommend to clean regularly theupper spray arm to avoid soil to clog theholes.Clogged holes can cause unsatisfactorywashing results.1. Pull out the upper basket.2. To disengage the spray arm from the

basket, press the spray arm upwardsin the direction indicated by the lowerarrow and simultaneously turn itclockwise.

3. Wash the spray arm under runningwater. Use a thin pointed tool, e.g.toothpick, to remove particles of soilfrom the holes.

3. representative;b) transportation and delivery of the

Appliance to and from Electroluxor its ASC.

In all instances, unless the Applianceis transported by Electrolux or anElectrolux authorised representative,the Appliance is transported at theowner’s cost and risk while in transitto and from Electrolux or its ASC.

6. Proof of purchase is required beforeyou can make a claim under thiswarranty.

7. You may not make a claim under thiswarranty unless the defect claimed isdue to faulty or defective parts orworkmanship. Electrolux is not liablein the following situations (which arenot exhaustive):a) the Appliance is damaged by:

– accident– misuse or abuse, including

You agree that any replaced Appliances or parts become the property of Electrolux.

5. Travel and transportation costs: Subject to clause 7, Electrolux will bear the reasonable cost of transportation, travel and delivery of the Appliance to and from Electrolux or its ASC. Travel and transportation will be arranged by Electrolux as part of any valid warranty claim.

6. Proof of purchase is required before you can make a claim under this warranty.

7. Exclusions: You may not make a claim under this warranty unless the defect claimed is due to faulty or defective parts or workmanship. This warranty does not cover:

(a) lightglobes,batteries,filtersorsimilarperishableparts; (b) parts and Appliances not supplied by Electrolux; (c) cosmeticdamagewhichdoesnotaffecttheoperationofthe

Appliance; (d) damage to the Appliance caused by:

anyone other than an Electrolux authorised repairer or ASC; (iv) normal wear and tear; (v) power surges, electrical storm damage or incorrect power supply; (vi) incomplete or improper installation; (vii) incorrect, improper or inappropriate operation; (viii) insect or vermin infestation; (ix) failure to comply with any additional instructions supplied with
