My husband, Randy, and I took a complete leap of faith when we left our corporate jobs to found Empower Educational Consulting in 2008. Our goal was to create a company that would change the way professional development was delivered to educators. Knowing that the real work is always performed in the classroom, with the students, we recognized that working side by side with teachers would make all the difference. So, we made job-embedded coaching the Empower standard.

As our Empower coaches listened to and supported teachers and students in classrooms across the country, it became clear that certain instructional materials were needed to make it easier for teachers to teach and for students to learn. We came to the conclusion it was time to take another leap! We added experts to our staff to help create these essential products...and blossomed into Empower Education Connections! What began with one product quickly grew as educators begged for more.

As you look through the pages of this catalog, you will see the tremendous products we have provided to thousands of classrooms across the country— all research based, teacher tested, and student approved! All of our materials are aligned to national core standards and state standards, and many of our products are available in both English and Spanish (look for the icons). And because we know today’s classrooms, we offer our products in both print and digital formats for in-person and virtual instruction.

We believe the products we put in the hands of teachers need to be simple, easy-to-use, and support the current research on how kids think and learn best. We have products teachers can use to enhance instruction; materials designed to increase student engagement, understanding, and learning; and products designed to be used at home or outside of the classroom to bridge the gap between home and school.

Empower’s growth over the years has been exciting every step (and leap!) of the way. As we have moved from solely consulting in schools to connecting schools to home with simple yet powerful materials, our commitment to making a positive change in education has gotten even stronger.
