POSITION PURPOSE (Why does this position exist)
This position exists to provide casual, after hours, week day, and weekend relief conducting meter patrols, car park duties and to assist with revenue collection and assist with basic parking equipment repairs.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES AND INDICATORS

Activities/Tasks include: Performance
Indicators Car Park Officers
Operate and relieve Officers in multi-storey car parks;
Superior customer service provided
Parking Meter Officer
Patrols and issues parking infringements for meters and car parks
Reports any faulty equipment and parking problems
Traffic Infringements
Traffic flow around the city is not impeded. Infringements issued correctly and efficiently
Parking faults reported in a timely manner to ensure faults are fixed quickly
Public relations
Answer questions from members of the public, provide direction and support where appropriate
Courteous and polite manner used with customers
Operation of Control Room
Respond to customers and give direction via the intercom system
When required
Assist Parking Technicians with basic hardware maintenance
If there are staff shortages in the Technicians area
When required
Other duties as required by management
When providing weekday or weekend relief you may perform other Parking Officer duties as required, including coin collection and suburban patrols.

Coin room To assist in the coin room with collection of monies from machines & meters

Parking Officers are part of a small, close working team who provide a valuable service to people coming into the CBD. This casual position will predominantly be required to perform work on weekends and weekday evenings and nights with some day shifts if required.
