• The People strategy for Lindab is to build a strong employer brand that willincrease our ability to attract, recruit and retain the right people.
• An essential part of the People strategy and our organisational success isemployee engagement.
• Employee engagement is important because it affects employees attitudes,behaviours and performance.
• It is evident that organisations whom foster a culture that enables employees toengage in their work benefit from improved organisational performance,productivity, innovation, customer satisfaction, loyalty, employee health &wellbeing, reduced levels of absence and reduced employee turnover.

• The most common measurement for employee engagement is an EmployeeSatisfaction Survey
• We created a short survey based on the key drivers of employee satisfaction:communication, teamwork, pay, rewards, recognition, benefits & flexibility,job satisfaction, training & development, H&S and social responsibility.
• An anonymous employee satisfaction survey was made available to allemployees and we are delighted to be able to confirm that 157 employees- 48%took the opportunity to provide their views and opinions on Lindab.
• The results from the survey have now been analysed, appropriate activitiesprioritised and the results of the survey are as follows

We really do appreciate your open and honest feedback and we can tell you that you have been heard! Whilst we cannot promise to implement all of your suggestions for improvement, since the 2018 survey we have addressed the following: Continued to improved internal communication through the monthly newsletter, branch / regional reviews, Lindnet, skype
calls and / or meetings;
Introduced a new & more robust Company Sickness Absence Management policies;
Further reviewed the Company car choice listing and added more hybrid cars;
Provided access to regular pension reviews via AEGON Assist and increased the minimum employer pension contribution from 3% to 4%.
Continued to updated and improve the working environments and conditions in a number of our locations; and
Obtained and renewed for another year both the PRS & PPL music licence for all branches.

From the results of the 2019 survey we have again identified key employee engagement drivers that we will either continue to prioritise or investigate and action where possible.
Communication• Engage and improve communication at all levels throughout the organisation but specifically, with those employees who
do not have access to Lindnet nor a lindab.com email account.• Endeavour to provide quicker two-way, up / down communication and feedback between senior management / line
managers and employees.
Teamwork• Investigate and improve inter-branch relationships.
Rewards & Recognition & Benefits• Introduce a formal reward and recognition scheme for all employees. • Continue to investigate the introduction of an employee cash plan whereby, employees can enjoy great deals, cash
back and discounts on purchases including supermarkets, travel, cinema, health & beauty and much more.• Investigate the introduction of new employee benefits such as buying / selling annual leave, taking a day off for
milestone birthdays / moving house / getting married etc.
Overall Employee Satisfaction• Continue to review and improve working environments and conditions throughout the branch network.

Effective continual feedback from our employees is critical to improving performance, productivity, engagement, our brand and is a strategic activity to ensure that by 2020 we have the ‘best teams for our business’.
The employee engagement survey will be conducted annually in November and results reported no later than the 28th February.
By 2020 our strategic goals are:
