PREFACE

MBA is stepping stone to management career. In order to develop a healthy management and administration skill among potential managers, someone has rightly said that partial training is far better than the classroom training. To achieve partial and concrete results, it is necessary that theoretical knowledge must be supplemented with an exposure of the real business environment. A professional course like Masters of Business Administration demands in depth theoretical knowledge and Practical exposure for its application.

The course aims to groom the student professionally and offer them a chance to work in the real environment of the corporate world, to have an opportunity to gain experience on practical aspects and supplement their theoretical knowledge.

The MBA participant makes a humble presentation of this report to all those persons who may have professional and academic interest in this topic.

My project title is “Employee Retention and Satisfaction in SURYA WORLD” which comprises of company’s profile, corporate mission, Recruitment policy of the company, objective etc.

Excellence commits us to challenge ourselves to utilize our God-given gifts -- intellectual, social, physical, spiritual and ethical. Surya World's commitment to excellence impels both individuals and the institution itself to consistently strive for outcomes that are exemplary rather than simply satisfactory. Such striving for excellence touches all aspects of life at Surya World from academic programs to sports, from student services to campus environment, from recruitment to publications, from special occasions to daily business. This value also inspires the SW community to recognize its members' significant achievements and contributions to the welfare of others.

Integrity

Integrity gives us the ability to realize the greater good in our actions and programs and challenges us to look at our work and ourselves holistically and as one united with others across the globe. Integrity, whether personal or institutional, implies coherence between words and acts. It calls each member of the Surya World community to live in accord with what the institution professes to be as an educational entity with a holistic character. Integrity suggests both certain wholeness in the institution itself and its connections with the larger educational, religious and social worlds in which it functions.

SUGGESTIONS

47

Page 48: Employee retention in Surya word College

In the light of the findings of the study the following suggestions have been found for the improvement in the retention and satisfaction of employees.

1. SURYA WORLD should recruit more professional people.

2. More and more fringe benefits shall be provided by the corporation to its employees.

3. Regular discussions shall be made before every decision.

4. The seniors should be supportive to their subordinates.

5. The efforts of the employees should be appreciated more and more.

6. The corporation should maintain dress code for its employees properly and compulsory.

7. Opinions, suggestions or ideas should be taken from the subordinates for decision making.

Limitations

48

Page 49: Employee retention in Surya word College

Since the road to improvement is never ending, so this study also suffers from certain

limitations. Some of them are as follows:

Because of illiteracy, it was a time consuming method in which continuous guidance was

required.

Questionnaire method involves some uncertainty of response. Co-operation on the part

of informants, in some cases, was difficult to presume.

It is possible that the information supplied by the respondents may be incorrect. So, the

study may lack accuracy.

The research area under my study may not be representative of whole universe. So the

findings may not be generalized.

CONCLUSION

From the survey regarding “Retention and satisfaction of employees in SURYA WORLD” I

concluded that the employees are mostly satisfied by the company and are performing their

job happily and with sincerity.

As we all know that, “Fittest will survive” but in the present context, it has been modified as

only the,” Fastest will survive”. So I think SURYA WORLD is succeeding very speedily in the

today’s era of competition with a clear mission and vision.
